How often do you have a flat tyre ??
Iv only had 3 in total since i started drivng 15 years ago and 2 of those were in one hit due to going over a piece of wood.
You might say its risky not having a spare but then how many folk run about with zero break down cover and thats 10 million times...
Open the bonnet first and you'll see it lol
Big thing just below the ecu
Never had a problem with mine and was running about for over a year with it tie-wrapped up due to me leaning on and breaking the mount. Bought a spare for 10 quid from a breakers
Sure the facelifter versions and...
Nothing wrong with the brakes. Infact, their very good and certainly not a priority to upgrade unless your doing track days so you must have something wrong
It says the recommended ron to run on the filler. The rest is down to the owner on their own opinions on the matter
Shell every time for me. Only had / been forced to to fill up with unleaded 3 times in 8 years of owning the car
According to a old topic, IK, decat and exhaust.
The rollers are home made (fact)
BHP seems about right for the mods but the torque is a complete fairy tale figure
Was it at JDM Dyno's by any chance?
Their rollers are complete and utter s**te. Home made and over read by a square mile. Have a habbit of under reading too when theres any potential money to be made  lol
Andy GDi got 172lbft with 230 bhp so not a chance in f*** will your torque be...
Pre mods, mine was 133 atw, 169 ish at the fly on a phase 1 - 150 atw would be cam'd up medium state of tune at a guess
Performance car figures are always quoted at the fly not the wheels (pretty obvious :) )
Sure a Nissan Sunny GTiR Pulsar only has something silly like 150 atw after...
Because out of the 1 billion different styles of alloy wheels on the market its the rim choice that 98% of Clio owners seem to opt for which makes them same old same old
Is having a wider front track on the car a advantage when it comes to traction off the line??
Im planning on ditching the Speedline 2118's (et38.5) and going back to the stock OZ F1's (et43) to save weight.
Wondering if i might encounter traction issues with the narrower track of the car
Going by past threads there's a Cup on here thats ran a 14.2 with basic mods and the user Matt Black ran a 13.5 i think it was with just NOS and heavily stripped
My opinions of these went down when folk who have them confirmed they dont 'hold you in'
Its basically just a name your paying for, unlike the old RS Turbo Recaro's which are amazing seats and do grip !
Sounds a lot that  - going by Renaults performance data stats, it dosent seem to make much of a difference in terms of figures but would it be a advantage for folk to have a ph1 172 head on their 182 etc or have the exhaust ports opened up a bit?
Always wondered if i did the right...
Whats all this rubbish about ram effect??
I bet ram never even crossed 99% of folks minds who have fitted a cold air feed!
Folk fit cold air feed just to get a bit more errmm cold air in the direction of the IK, Air box or what ever your using ... and why not? it aint gonna hurt is it plus...
Think you could be blaming the wrong part fella.
Chances are this is the throttle cable or the common mk1 172 throttle body spring prob.
Check that the black disk on your TB that holds the cable engine side is sitting on the gromit when its doing the raised revs thing
As already mentioned, just buy from Renault. Your getting your mate to fit them so your saving shed loads anyway :)
Would personally never use ebay for essential parts and cam / aux belts are very much essential areas. One cheap product or c**k up could cost you £££££££££££
My idle / start up is crap in this warm weather too. Must be a Clio thing? lol
Another one to check maybe, idle control valve. Might be worth a jet with carb cleaner if its not been done before
Seems to be dropping off quite a bit, say 100 - 150rpm roughly. Its a pain because i can raise the idle speed on the TB but then the cams get a hold and i have problems with the car reving up when say coming to a hault after a run. Just cant seem to adjust it so it idles decent but dosent rev...
Is it normal for the idle speed to drop when you turn the steering wheel say when parking??
If yes, is there anyway to adjust it so the revs maintain a constant level or near enough??
for a Ph1 172
Cheers
Does nobody get quotes before letting garage folk loose on their cars anymore or something?? :dead:
Was this a Renault dealer?? if so, ring up Renault UK as theres book times for jobs and this clearly is well over the recommended time unless they have 100 quid a hour rates + vat
Renault...
^^^ think mattjk is meaning whats this got to do with the topic which is about .........????? yup, inlet manifold suprise suprise ;) lol
Inlet = part that connects from head to plenum chamber, holds the injectors
Plenum chamber = bit thats got the throttle body (TB) bolted to and...
