Apex springs. Some people will recommend you upgrade the shock absorbers, tbh you really should, but I've been running mine on standard shocks for months with no problems. Had the car on the ramp the other day and still no signs of leakage.

Agreed, BMW along with Honda have utter w*nk paint finishes from factory. Well worth the end result, on a black car would be like glass.

60mm apex, much improved height/stance but still able to tackle every speedbump/multistorey and fit 5 people in.

If they're cheap pads aswell they'll just keep on squeaking no matter what you do with copper grease.

You'll need the sport wings or you'll need to sand down the bumper to fit the standard wings.

Why did you mask up an area and not just paint the whole panel?

Yes, but only cause he rubbed through on half of it taking out chips etc. If any damage has been removed before you prime it and you don't rub through too much when flatting you do not need to re-prime it. I work in a bodyshop (I'm a painter) and we never re-prime after flatting.

I love all the mods on my car, I'm only 18 so I've got plenty time to drive a sensible standard car when I'm older.

Powdercoat them everytime if you can afford it. The only reason mine are painted is because I work in a bodyshop and can paint them for free. Powder coating lasts 100 times longer than any paint ever would.

Buy a matt black aerosol, you don't need to lacquer it.

800 Grit wet or higher is what I'd personally use to sand the primer.

60mm drop yes, anything less than that on a 1.2 is pointless and you'll get bored of it. I'd go for the black wheels, but not the black bonnet, IMO looks like a cheap attempt at making it look like carbon fibre.

Nice first car that, remember if you're getting the 172 kit you'll need lowering springs and spacers as well or it looks daft.

As said could you not pack out the area where the spring sits with something?
