IIRC £150 to get it re-gassed, my mk2 172 had 2 leaking pipes when I picked it up which got replaced and regassed under warranty, but apparantly thats how much it would have cost me. And yes it should be icey cold, apart from when its less than 5 degrees outside, in which case it is already...

During the cold start program the engine is very restrictive so that it passess euro emmision tests. At about 2.5krpm my engine can stutter a bit when completly cold, take it slightly above or slightly below and its fine. Soon as its out of cold mode its also fine. Its not really noticable...
