I think these people who say i vastly altered anything are talking aload off rubbish. I put 17's on and it made no noticable difference anywhere. not slower no much better handling. It's a plocebo effect.
My 172 had the timing slighty out and I thought it was normal but when I had the cambelt done the bloke said it was out and he'd sorted it. Now it feels sooo much better its like it used to be between 5-7k all the way through with a second wind even better after 5k. So it might be something like...
i'm thinking of getting one of these for christmas would be good to here what the gains are, but the price still works out way less than another map from other people like k-tec/gdi... so i think that would be the main factor

i solved that with some rubber off of a u bend out of a new toilet pipe with some tie wraps around, works a treat.
hard to explain but it is easy to do.

I have used bosch super 4's and never had a problem so far. Used them in my old car too not an issue so cant see what all the fuss is about surely there cant be that much difference between them?
i easily get 35 most of the time i get 38 and i do mainly town driving and i dont drive like an "old fart" I just drive steady slowing down early for lights so you dont actully stop an so on. however i always seem to boot on dual carridge ways and things but it stays about 36-38mpg !
3200 trade in for my old 1.4 16v 51 plate with some very expensive kit on it. so at most 3500 unlucky though as i think they should be worth more and yours is a good example of one!
