THATS AWESOME!!! Man it creases me everytime I see, its a badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger mushroom mushroom, ahhhhhhhhhhh its a snake, oohhhhh its a snake, its a badger badger... hahahahaha
Go to http://www.daz-uk.comhttp://www.daz-uk.com and get the torsion bar guide, do it yourself. I didnt have a clue what to do, but it took me a weekend to figure it out including fitting lowering springs and adjusting torsion bar. Result is now front is 55mm lower, back is 90mm at a guess...
SHED! If it hadnt a decent box, itd be a shed but with crappy box SHED. Dont it have 110bhp? More then previous VTRs but Im sure I read somewhere the 0-60 was 11 seconds?!?
Depends what you want innit!!! Id have thought the Zetec S what out handle any new Clio bar 172/Cup/V6, but straight line aint that brilliant!! Personally, I love the looks of the Zetec S, better styling then a standard Clio IMO (waits to get slated!)
Doubt youd fit a 3.0 v6 out a lag or some other powerful thing like a 21T lump in the front of a Clio without chopping the chassis up. Said this on RSC many a time, but get a 21T lump and lob it in the back of a Clio, turbo charged 2 litre 8 valve rwd fun!!!! Itd be mad, easily tuned and...
Lot of people will tell you to buy a valver, valvers are twice the car the RT will ever be, but the valver aint the most reliable thing in the world. If youve had your RT a while and you know its been serviced regular, then tune the RT! Ive had my RT since 40k and its now on 91k in 3 years, I...
You either need 2 new springs or new dampers for the front, depending on how you wanna go. New springs will mean itll be stiffer but in turn wear out standard dampers a lot quicker. The torsion bar is simple a matter of jacking rear of car up, removing back wheels, pull out torsion bar both...
Limits at 4k??? You mean when you floor it, itll bounce of the limiter at 4000 rpm in any gear? Thats well dodgy seen as the RT dont have a variable limiter to protect the engine, it should kick in at 6500-6750rpm. Sure its not a diesel youve got under the bonnet, lol
Id go ask Reno whats up...
Why dont you fit them yourself? All you need is a socket set and some spring compressors. If you dont fancy that, just mail order and take it to any garage, wouldnt have thought theyd charge you more then 20 quid.
Dazz - its very easy, if you follow the guide on daz-uk then you really cant go wrong. Just get car on axle stands, remove torsion bar, jack arm (or hubs depending on kind of torsion bar) up to deserved height, put torsion bar back in and your done. Took me an hour to raise mine tonight.
Took me an hour to raise the back up about 15-20mm and now it rides mint, doesnt bounce about everywhere and feels a lot better. Rolls a bit round the corners but still handles well, well chuffed I did it all in an hour! :D:D:D:D:D
Cheers again! Going to sort it out later on tonight, me dad works in a boiler house, loads of room inside there to do it, fully lit and nice and warm so be doing that later tonight! Ill post pics up again when its raised lol
Cheers essex lad, you seem to be the RT guru on ere!!! I can live with bumpy, just not jump up and down choppy. Im gonna raise it till wheel sits out of arch a bit and see how I get on.
Fecking love the handling tho, lobbed it round this roundabout in me dinner hour and it didnt roll at all...
55mm lowering springs on front, just turning torsion bar on back. Im assuming bump stops cause the car to jump up when it hits them on the back. Basically, whenever I go over anything but the smallest bump, the back end jumps up and down with the front staying solid, on small bumps I can feel...
