I'll give it a go, I have some experience with detailing but that was over 4 years ago! No detailing threads sorry. Just bought a new Monaco Blue so this would be nice to test and seal it for the winter :)

Same as before yeah, Paul had to pull the timing almost all the way back.
On the original build we were running stock ECU so 438/421 were the only option, iir 421 were not in stock from all of the usual places but 438's were so we chose them. If the engine was due new belts then yes I would...
438 (aka 421) cams as it was originally for standard management. It is high comp Fred, remember the head was skimmed a large amount as well as the high comp pistons! ;) I think we worked it out to be 13.5:1 cr or similar.
Running Gaz coilovers which were a bit pants tbh, the PM strut brace and...
After quite a crappy year in my personal life I decided to splash out a little and have something I've always wanted since owning a CS... ITB's!!
It's taken quite a long time to get the car to this stage but its done, mapped and no going back now! I now need to sort a track day out...
Freds missus works there iir... not sure a clio meet would be welcome, maybe Fred can sort out a club discount lol.
I've been to the Crab Mill a few times and it's very nice food with decent size carpark out the front and back.

Has anyone run any other wheels than standard on these? Please post up some pics. I'm thinking of buying one for a daily car and slapping some Anthracite 2118's on it! :)
All sorted now, after looking at my mates cup to see what connector it was I found it. Was expecting a push on crimp or something, not a 3 wire connector!
It was originally just for the satnav but I might also use it for a small electric heater if the screen mists up. I'm guessing that'll draw more current?
Probably a silly question but can you wire in any old 12v socket into any live feed? My track car had it cut off and it's proving a pain when I need sat nav on charge. I can't find the old wire as the loom is all wrapped up.
DS2500 seem to be supplied in a much thinner thickness compared to others. Sam and myself have used these on the willwoods and demolished a set within one track day at Donington.
Who has done this and what was involved? What is the spacing difference between centres for each model?
If I machine the hole centres, is there anything stopping me slotting one hole, or making the one hole larger and machining a rocker spacer like the AST Sportline II coilovers? as below...
I...
From what I've been told. The chap didn't want to pay full whack for a proper baffle kit so asked for something cheap to be made. The end result was indeed a thin sheet of metal with hinge and baffle plate, but the customer did ask for cheap flappage to do the job. Either way, it does look...
just as I was pulling up at Freds today I knew who's car this was straight away :) Like so many on here, will be nice to see this finally finished and back on the track!
