Jesus that manifold looks pure filth! The workmanship looks second to none as per all your products! Will be interesting to see some results, are you testing the complete system as a package or separate items? Group buy on manifold? I'd buy one to frame on the wall let alone put in on the car! :)
I think NightSpirit made or bought it, he posted something about it recently. It does need longer runners but then you need to fit a smaller rad, remove slam panel etc.
Custom Cages are designed to be welded in but you can simply weld a mounting plate on the bottom. That's how my rear cage was made, just make sure you use proper load plates under the chassis to bolt onto.
Checked everything and it's air tight. same situation where you can drive flat out for 10-15min, then limp mode will kick in. Turn off and on again and it has gone... Would the previous map have something to do with this? It originally had a small air leak when It was mapped so the fuel/air...
Both emission and engine management light have been on for some time, I took it to the garage to clear all faults and they both stay on with P0120 circuit A iir, and bank 1 sensor... I've tried both pedal and TB before and recently bought a new genuine sensor for the pre cat...
When I pulled...
Map sensor needs to be as far away as possible from the TB and tangent to the airflow iir, I doubt that is the reason for the bad engine noise but worth noting.
I wish I could afford some new cams but with the engine only being 2k old, tis a bit expensive to re-replace the 438 cams :( Hopefully he will order both Jenvey sets in one go ;)
I've put my name down for a BTM spec Jenvey setup but he has yet to email me the list :( Are you running the same cams or something a bit wilder with your build?
I tried both pedal and TB thanks to Simon popping over. Still threw up the P0120 code after clearing it. Next step will be to try a new lambda sensor that I know works. :(
After sorting out the dead battery issue on my track car I now have these two faults :banghead:
One being second lambda sensor and the other being throttle pedal. It kicks into limp mode and drives generally quite sluggish and poor... I can accelerate so assuming the pedal works fine? I've...
That was my first thought with the call stalling all the time and constantly needing to restart, being hi comp id assume it's drawing more current anyway. How do I check the starter motor though?
Cheers,
I wish I could have stayed longer but I had a house viewing to sort out :(
I checked the car again today and all seems well. The battery is 12.8v on it's own and 14.5v when engine is running.
I thought I'd check the lambda sensors due to the emission light being on... Post cat sensor had a pool of water in the sleeve so dried it out, applied contact spray, then a bit of WD40 around the wires to repel any more water. The car now starts but both engine and emission lights are on. Need...
Nope, not that I know of :(
Already cleaned the terminals. It just seems to die once it cranks over. Something earthing in the loom or poor connection. It was chucking it down yesterday so might be water in the loom somewhere.
I bought a new battery anyway, the old one had 2004 on the date stamp. Same issue, will crank once or twice but then nothing. The light stayed on to start with and then went off later on, I now have the emission and battery light on. Whenever it does crank, everything will go dead so I have to...
