Rain X leaves a very slick finish to the glass, slicker than a sealant or wax can.
Streaking is from the wipers is probably why they don't recommend using it on the front screen. Glass polish alone will go some way to helping the water run off.
Probably be fine - I have used Megs #16 on front...
Very nice Tim - a 106 GTi with crap brakes, they all seem to vary from poor to scary judging by the ones I have driven.
New discs all rounds and some DS2500's, good fluid and a nice bleed seemed to sort mine - one of first things I did.
AG Used to say not to put SRP or EGP onto the front screen, not sure if the bottles still cary the same warning.
Front Screen Polish with AG Glass Polish and then use Rain X and wipe downs with Clearkote Quickshine.
Rest of the Glass just polish with the AG Glass polish and wax with whatever I...
Cling film and clay don't work on a long time basis (learnt from experience there and a dried out clay bar!), the weld to each other! An air tight tupper ware type box is a better option or the little box that comes with the Sonus clays.
The Megs Stage 3 stuff won't last long Chris.
I would just use Autoglym Super Resin and Extra Gloss Protection if you want something off the shelf, easily lasts as long (probably longer) than any of the dedicated wheel sealants out there.
Break the bar into 2 or 3. Make sure the clay is always warm and soft, remove any big chunks of shite it removes out of it, if you drop the clay bin it. Don't use loads of pressure just enough to keep the clay on the surface.
I just layer them one over another regardless of brand.
If your worried just use something like AG SRP to clean up the paint first and give it a good base.
