my brothers solution was to get even.
he parked up waiting for my other brother who popped into the bank.
I was sitting in the back talking to him.
Indian fella parks next to him, swings his door open and a loud bang.
Brother gets out the car, walks around to passenger side. Nice crease in...
You were behind me so didn't get a clear view of your car.
I was the blue 197 in front.
spotted you London road/ croydon road towards Westerham just now (2:20pm ish)
Was fun and your car moved really well :D
will keep my eyes peeled. I drive my AB 197 around that area a lot so will definitely notice another one.
Anything different about it (spoiler/sideskirts/exhaust trim?)
197. Been through the same thing before I got mine a month ago and ended up with a very well specced 197 for around your figure. It is an earlier reg though and is due it's belts early next year.
I've averaged 30mpg over the last 250 miles. This is my commuting mpg as well :)
Purley way. Parked up outside fitness first just after the roadworks at the junction. at about 3:30pm today.
had a cliosport.net sticker in the rear window.
looked lovely and really stood out in the sun.
that's what I must be remembering. there was a discussion on another forum and some people where saying there's stated 5 on the V5 whilst others stated 4.
Was a little while ago now.
at least someone had the balls to try something that 20 other 172s havent tried before.
not to my taste but your car and if you like it then who cares ;)
over 825 miles averaged 25mpg this is a mixture of motorway runs, NSL roads and town. I also worked it out rather then just rely on the trip computer and it was pretty accurate.
decided to find out what I use on my commute to work and I get about 32-28mpg depending on traffic. This is a...
in traffic your car won't be getting as much air forced into/around it as when it's on the move. once it's on the move the engine gets air forced through/around it helping it cool.
many thanks. the person I spoke toknew his stuff so I was pretty sure I was going to use them as they are very near to me.
just wanted to see if anyone else had heard or used them before I push on with it :)
will be getting membership here soon, was meant to do it Friday. been busy getting rid...
has anyone ever used them before?
they are a Renault specialist in Sevenoaks and their prices are very reasonable as I'm scouting around early on due to the 197 needing it's belts and bits (major service) end of this year.
is there any other specialists people have used around the...
I've been pulled a few times. most recent was 2 Monday's ago.
got to love the excuse 'because it's an old car late at night'
it was 2am and I was on the way home from work.
they always think I'm a bloke till they see me but I normally just have a good chat with them and I'm soon on my way.
you...
I'm not knowledgable with clios but when this happened on my fiesta (crazy woble then nothing) it turned out to be speedo cable related.
mine had frayed/rotted and disconnected. once replaced all was well.
maybe clios have something similar? I'd defo start there though.
if not could be...
I've got to say these interiors add that extra something to the car.
I think it's the difference between nice and gorgeous ;)
to have the skills to do the whole car, outside and inside, would be lovely.
like the White and how it's done but I cansee it would get dirty very quickly.
twice...
very yum. edge were who I contacted very nice work they've done.
will definitely be getting that done now. love tge retrimmed dash and steering wheel sets it off perfectly.
thats exactly what I want but with blue rather then red stitching to match the car better.
looks lush, hope it looks as good on the standard 197 seats.
red interior on a black car or vice versa would be nice too.
not keen on cream though :)
I don't even have my Clio 197 yet but I've already got a quote to have the interior redone in the older RS interior (half leather and half alcantra) with blue stitching as they advised against White stitching as it would get dirty very quickly.
so if you could have your interior anyway you...
It was black to begin with. I actually would have preferred the standard black/aubergine colour but the orange has grown on me and it looks so much better in the flesh ;)
When/if it goes in for a full body spray (next year or two depending on when and where the rust appears) its going tormallard...
