Start doing some serious weight loss, start chopping out the door and boot inners, get rid of the bonnet strengthening/double skinning.
There is loads of weight to save in removing unused wiring loom.
Give the whole car a wipe over with some AG Tar and Adhesive remover first.
Adding extra lube wont make the clay work any better. I have no experience of the Poorboys clay but would maybe look into another clay i it s not working.
You can either wax or seal or do both, depends on what durability and products your using some won't work together.
The polishing adds most to the looks, sealants and waxes can give little or nothing in some cases. A good Carnuaba wax will add to looks.

I killed a tyre today on the 306 after driving on it flat to get of the m/way so will see what it costs on the morning !
Not used any of the Britemax polishes so not sure how abrasive they are.
If you know how they compare to other stuff, I have use Menzerna Intensive Polish or Final Finish on either a light cut or polishing pad if that helps.
Glad I never upgraded my Nokia, took the money etc when they pestered me before as I already had my jailbroken iphone. Will get a proper contract with the new one.
