Have you tried using the proper spark plug socket for the 1.2 16v ?or are you just using a ordinary socket ? And yes there is a proper socket for those plugs :nono:
The funny thing is as AlexW will find out when he does his 1.9 conversion is that when you get the 1.5 besides the 1.9 engine there is very little difference in size & weight . Why Renault never done a sport version of a dci is beond me even in the clio 3 you still cant have the 2.0 dci engine...
Common problem is the spade terminal on the end of starter signal lead . Replace with a new spade terminal should sort it out , or other test for engine earth by connecting a jump lead to battery negative terminal then connect the other end to the engine or gearbox casing
spacers sorted the wide track plus the 100 all ready has a rear disc beam , plus I have economy and power its a win win :rasp: as for glue call it what you want sticky sh*T that is left on your van
What a laugh , lack of power lol maybe if you started with a 100 bhp dci in the first place you would be having more fun lol ;) petrol ,or paint thinners on the glue residue does the trick .
Has your clio had the inlet manifold taken off ?? check all the bolts are in it as they often get left out and the holes go directly in to the oil gallery
Fitted 2new drive shafts & I am pleased to say it has made a hell of a difference , drives like new  only down side is the lowering springs will have to go as the ride is killing my spine :(
The 106 bhp is a different engine not just the turbo pump & injectors . Injectors are siemens as is pump not Delphi & in my opinion much better the pump has a smaller drive pulley , The crank on a 106 is stronger . the block is different as are the crank pulley & water pump . The timing belt...
They do have a habit of eating turbos if not looked after or wrong oil is used , you don't always get play in the impels shaft low as you can get internal cracking :( is it a high miler ? worn rings is becoming more common .
Would have to be totally original for the top end price with no ph2 mods in interior & engine & original wheels but find a good one & your still up for some great fun :approve:
That's just crazy , had to do a clutch on one last year that had ben sat since 2004 . Was a nightmare as the chap who owned it had started it himself then given up & bits were all over the place plus you could not get a clutch & it has a strange twin plate system . Could not get his one to...
Looks like your going to be disappointed Mike , if you look in the fuse board on the side of the dash you rill see a front fog symbol if there are no contacts for a fuse your out of luck :dapprove:
There are always methods to get the lights like new again we do them at work but I don't use any of the methods on here or a 3m kit & they last for years no need to keep doing them . so if you take yours out I would be interested for a fee ;)
That's the only problem with the 100 bhp you can only use the original drive shafts & lets just say mine are on there last legs :( still dci race series could be fun lol ;)
What 2 days to do a cambelt try 2 hour max & more like £250 its only a small belt that links the cams but at 230 ,000 miles it should be on its 3rd belt ,. But I have quite a few customers & no matter how hard you tell them about cambelts they just keep driving then cry when it snaps . One...
Must admit I am liking your track days in a derv :race: might have to buy some new drive shafts before I consider it lol , if only you could run one on red now that would be a cheap track day ,but unfortunately the 15 dci doesn't like it :(
Just a idea Alex but are you sure its leaking out of the return ? reason I say is that I noticed you took the turbo off with the oil feed pipe & were it fits in to the head there is a rubber o ring that falls off or self destructs & with it being on the pressure side oil pisses out , worth a...
