So I can just plug it in normally and worst case split the cable to go to both inputs if it has 2 on it?

What kind of charger is it? Could get hold of an in car charger for it and then hardwire it to power on with ignition so you never need to charge it up then.
normal controls as in it cant have the normal £28 version as there is no jack input on the back of the unit. Because it infra red remote control connectivity you can have stalks still but you need to add £18 for the infra red patch lead and you MUST have your remote control that came with the...
its only a "bugger" if you buy the autoleads stalks adapter as they need you to remove the dash board, connects2 models (which I sell) just plug in behind the headunit.
even if there was a date I doubt it'd make a difference, parts would have still been produced and if they needed to use them up they'd use them up. I've had the odd 05 plate clio with a tuner list still so I can't say
