    Manifold to cat join

Last night my manifold to cat join decided to split in 2! Have re-bolted it together, but now it sounds like there's a hole ther, it's blowing out of the join Is there supposed to be a gasket or anything inbetween? I literally just bolted the 2 parts back together with the spring bolts

    RS192 centre section

It's not that bad, it doesnt blow or leak. But they have welded a bit of 2.5 inch pipe to 2.25 inch pipe and it just looks bodged. The welds are really messy (i've already ground them down) but internally the welds stick out as well inside the pipework.

    RS192 centre section

Does anyone know if the centre section Scorpion RS192 exhaust is similar to any other aftermarket systems? For some reason on mine the back box is the RS192 but the middle section is powerflow - the welds are SHITE! So I want to replace the centre silencer as cheaply as possible really...

    Dashboard 'centre console'

    Dashboard 'centre console'

I did consider silver but im not sure how well it will match up with the rest of the centre that goes down under it, the stereo, etc. Will probably give it a go in BG then, I need to buy a bit of paint anyone for a touch-up on the front bumper. Any ideas on what gearknob to go for to match the...

    Dashboard 'centre console'

Re-trimmed my A-pillars in dark grey alcantara this weekend, and made a new gear shift gaiter to match. These bits have come out really nice. Also attempted to do the centre piece of trim that houses the 2 centre fan blowers and central stereo display. I wasted 3 hours removing the dash and...

Going to do a few bits in alcantara

Haha think I would struggle full stop, I can do a few bits and bobs but retrimming whole seats is a bit out of my depth. If I was that good I would be giving the steering wheel a go! Will hopefully get these bits done by the weekend anyway, i'll post pics...

Going to do a few bits in alcantara

I'm going to trim the A-pillars in alcantara, and am thinking what to do with the leftover material as i've just bought 1 metre of it in dark grey. Has anyone had the central part of the dash trimmed? The piece of plastic that surrounds the display, and the 2 middle air vents in centre of the...

    Williams 2 Owners

How would you compare it to the 182? My williams 2 is mint and so is my FF182, so its quite a fair comparison and I would honestly say the williams drives noticeably better. In my view it is a better handling car, could that difference just be down to the wheels? (15's vs 16's)

    Williams 2 Owners

I've had mine for years, its so good i've never sold it I know I would regret it! As others have said, get a half decent one that retains most of the magic it had when it left the factory, it won't dissapoint. I now have a FF182 too as a weekend car and my opinion is that the williams is the...

Front seat lowering - who's tried 'proper' mods?

I know its not loads, but its the 3mm plus the fact you wouldn't need to use washers to raise the runners over the carpet to stop it rubbing when you want to adjust the seat If you were to remove the washers/bushes/spacers plus cut out a section of carpet you may be able to get 15mm drop which...

    Does my 182 have cams!?

Great, cheers. Any guys from Kent/Essex way ever do a group meet for a rolling road session? Would like to compare cars on the same rolling road!

Front seat lowering - who's tried 'proper' mods?

Do you think cutting out the little bit of carpet under the runners would work?

    Does my 182 have cams!?

Thanks for most of the responses. I bought it from a trader rather than an enthusiast so the only modifications I knew about were the obvious ones that I could see when I viewed the car, all the trader showed me was service history and reciepts. Wouldn't you guys like to know what the car has...

    Does my 182 have cams!?

Well I wanted to get an idea on the likelihood of it having cams before I started pulling things apart under the bonnet, but I suppose i'll have to get my hands dirty sometime soon to confirm...

    Does my 182 have cams!?

Are 182's 'lumpier' than 172's at idle? As my mate who made the comment has 2 172's, and mine is noticeably more 'off-beat' at idle than either of his, thats why he mentioned it, it may just be standard but it is really noticeable and it not a fault for sure...

    Does my 182 have cams!?

Haha i hope not! But seriously, there's no misfiring, the car runs faultlessly. It is lumpy at idle though, just wondered if there are any other 'clues' that it had been cammed (apart from getting dirty under the bonnet!), never had a car that has had uprated cams, nor have I ever driven a...

Front seat lowering - who's tried 'proper' mods?

From what I have read it looks like it won't slide, or best-case it will slide but will be quite stiff as the runners will be rubbing against the carpet. Some people fit a few washers to give you just enough clearance to move the seat still. Thats why I suggested cutting out a strip of carpet...

    Does my 182 have cams!?

Only had the car a month and not had the chance to drive it loads, i picked up a mate today who has his own garage (mechanics MOT's etc) and he said it sounded lumpy at idle and asked if it had uprated cams. I can see the car has had a pipercross carbon induction kit, and scorpion rs192...

Front seat lowering - who's tried 'proper' mods?

Thanks guys i've read all about the removing the bushes/spacers that the seats are mounted on, I suppose by cutting out just the bit of carpet directly underneath the seat sliders you could squeeze an extra few mm of lowering. I'm surprised that more people haven't tried customising the...

    Steering wheel DIY refurb

I have retrimmed 3 sets of doorcards in leather, and 2 leather armrests before so I know the basics but am definately not ready to be re-trimming a steering wheel in leather/alcantara! So my plan is to do a nice DIY refurb, i'm looking into the options tonight on the net, my plan is to use a...

Front seat lowering - who's tried 'proper' mods?

Since I bought my clio last month i've been seriously looking into getting the front seats a good inch lower. Recaro's are more money than i'm willing to spend for 10mm drop, and all the other tips such as removing the rubber grommets, which again only result in 10mm drop. There MUST be a way...

Creaking noise from front - intermittent

Anyone had any experience with a creaking noise coming from the front, think it is suspension related. It does it rarely, for example I was turning around last week, went over a speed bump whilst turning and it creaked whilst I pulled over the bump. Have heard it once or twice before, always...
