Crack off one bolt at a time, stick a bit of sealant under the heads not the thread and tighten back up to 12nm. There is a rubber seal on the solenoid so might be worth checking or sticking some sealant around that too
Lol just unplug both, swap them round, plug back in. Job done
If you are dead set on replacing its the first one, about £60 from NW performance. But why buy when you can just swap and get back going to normal and replace the (what will now be) post cat at a time of your convenience :)

What was it last time wouldn't let you connect or start? First i'd be trying to work out why it wont connect, it could easily be the main problem and you wouldn't know. Then you can start seeing what the values are and what sensors are/aren't being picked up
Lol they just happen to have the right numbers in the titles but in the wrong order.
I could do with one too daniel if you find something, would none of the motorbike ones do the job?
Physically i'm sure I could have made them fit somehow, didn't want to though Danny. I've grown to love them but its always a contentious point on the car, some love it with me some hate it
Cheers though :)
Cheers bomber, some b-spec seat mounts coming up soon hopefully!
Had a friend of mine take some pics of the car today before I start changing too many things and regret not having anything decent to remember how it was

Powerwise mine was 198 on 97 Ron the best we have over here in n.i
Either you need to be able to...
If you were doing it you would soon realise why that it's too hit and miss if you didnt slacken off on the pulleys. Your pulling on a belt that isn't moving and putting pulleys at different positions on the belt. You'd end up with different tensions at different parts of the belt between...
Renault, they can't be had from motorfactors or anything. I think Fred can get you it for like £2 cheaper or something. Or if your lucky sometimes the come up on ebay
How much of a 'whir' are we talking here, could be the waterpump as thats what it sounds like when it goes.
Lol didnt you post a thread like 2 days ago hoping there would be no whir after some guy fitted your belt.... awesome insight or coincidence
Ok so off the head came to have a bit of work to smooth out the scratches so it's all hunky dory now :)
While that was going on the rocker was re-painted to make it look nice again and the oil leak from before had started to crack the last finish so prepped, painted and into my makeshift oven...
I had to move to a ford zetec blacktop engine tdc sensor for mine to start well. The renault wouldnt give it a good enough .
I'd hit matt too, could well be a map issue
