What do you mean by textured bump strips? I own a 1996 Clio RSi and I was considering having the bump strips colour coded as well as the door handles. What would be involved and would you advise having it done?
No, but seriously mate. I dont know of anywhere in "da Kent" area. All you can do is ask any local body shops if they would have a look at it for you. Its not that involved. It just needs to be done properly if its gonna look any good.
***FAO EVERYBODY***
Im horrified at the number of people that use silicone sealant on their motors. DONT!!! It will do serious harm! Silicone sealant is corrosive and will eat away at your bodywork over a period of time!
RSis are nice looking motors. Ive got one myself. Hopefully, when my 21st bday comes around I will be able to show you all the finished article as Im hoping to finish off my Joker 1 kit (being a student, Im hard up at the moment). Then, that will be it, project RSi finished. As it is though (in...
Well it hadnt long been out when I had mine. Its like evrything though, if you wait just that little bit longer then the price is likely to come crashing down (Damn it!!!). I thought Bass Junkies were pretty good mind. The only thing I didnt like (when compared to places like Halfords) you cant...
Get the Pioneer 8400. As well as playing mp3, it also plays WMA (windows media audio), allowing you to download tracks from the Internet and play them in your car!!! It might be a bit flash for you though! :). Its rrp is £600 but if you get in touch with Bass Junkies in Wolverhampton, it can be...
Just wondering if anybody knows anything about Focals 6x9 speaker range. How much are they and what are they rated at??? Are they better than the Infinity 6953i 6x9s???
It is possible to get 6x9s and subs working well together. Just have more emphasis on the front speakers and lower the amount of bass coming from the 6x9s. A good way to do it is set the fader setting on your h/u to 0 (meaning front and rear are balanced the same), then gradually bring the fader...
FAO Cheeky chappie
I cant remember what it was called but it was good. I saw one advertised on an American shopping channel (not that I watch them)! They had a group of ex car thieves trying to get the clutch lock off with hacksaws, hammers, crowbars. The inventor was so confident that he let...
You could always delock it I suppose. Also, I dont know whether anyone has seen them or not but there is now a device available from the States that works on the same principal as a steering lock, but goes around the clutch pedal instead. Its made from extremely hard wearing metal and stops...
Ive got a Vibe CBRA120. Sounds really nice and looks the part. Vibe subs are usually pretty solid and handle quite a wide range of music well. I listen mainly to rap and hip hop so a 12 was the obvious choice. However, on the rare occassions that Ive listened to dance music the 12 seems to...
Has anyone got an Alpine CDE-7860R or know what theyre like? I know that Alpine have got an excellent reputation when it comes to in-car stereos but I was just wandering if anyone could give me a little more information regarding Alpine and/or this particular h/u.
Cheers
The 6400 is even better! I particularly like the ASL adjuster. The unit goes louder the faster that you are going as a result of road noise, etc. A very nifty little feature!
Sony h/u are absolute sh*te!!! Had a mate that got one of those active black panel display ones and after a week the unit locked up and he couldnt put cds in or get the one cd that was stuck out!!! lol
Ive also got a Pioneer 8400mp. They are awesome. The sound quality is second to none and the unit has shed loads of features. There wasnt a problem with fitting as a lot of people believe that because of the dual face facility, and because of the angle at which the units sit in the Clio, that...
