Pioneer are well known for their quality h/u and speakers. Ive always had Pioneer headunits and I havent been disappointed yet!!! Ive currently got the new(ish) 8400 which is awesome!
With regards matching evrything up theres no need. I use to believe that sticking with the same brand...
If youre thinking of installing a separate sub and amp afterwards I would steer clear of the Vibe 6x9s as the bass will be far too heavy. Those Vibe 6x9s (because of the hoooge magnet) are very bassy for speakers of that size. The Pioneer Emotion 6x9s that have been mentioned are very good...
Although Im not a fan of Sony in car entertainment you could opt for an active black panel model. They have come right down in price since they were first released! Plus, it shouldnt look out of place with the rest of your interior.
(Hope this works)!
Heres a picture of the TSW Heaven7 I mentioned in the earlier post

16 inch rims dont look small if you choose the right kind of design. If you do opt for 16s then I would look at rims where the spokes go right to the outside of the rim. This gives the illusion that the wheels look bigger than they actually are.
If you wanna be different go for something like...
Can I just say that 18" rims on a 1.2 is a bad idea!!! The car will handle like sh*t and will take about 3 weeks 0-60. Go for a set of 16s and deck it between 40-60mm.
Personally, I hate big bore back boxes as I think they make the car sound like a bag of nails. Plus, you will loose a lot of torque as there wont be as much back pressure. However, having said that, your top end speed may be improved slightly (i doubt it though due to the size of your engine).
Hi everyone
I own a Clio RSi (96) and I have recently noticed a knocking/rattling noise coming from the front drivers side whenever I hit a rough patch of road (by the way, the car ISNT lowered).
Any suggestions as to what could be causing the noise would be appreciated. I just need some...
MC Rallying do some nice skirts for the Clio as part of their Clio Max Sport kit. The skirts for the 5 door are priced at 106.40 (I think). These seem to be pretty popular amongst Renault owners so check them out at:

Hope this is of some help!
Thanks guys. I thought Prima were pretty good but obviously not! You may have saved me a lot of grief. I think that I will go and order my Joker 1 valance from K-Tec now!!!
I have just spoken to Prima Racing about purchasing the Joker 1 rear valance for the clio phase 1 and I was a little taken-aback when they only quoted me 175 quid (with rsc membership discount).
Im aware that K-tec Racing also sell the Joker 1 valance for the phase 1 Clio priced at 210 (plus...
I did have something similar with my RSi. I used to get a horrible squeak when i changed from 1st to 2nd (and sometimes 2nd to 3rd). I took it to my local garage and he checked everything including the cable, mechanism, etc. He commented that the clutch felt stiff but it was nothing to worry...
I had similar problems with my RSi. Sometimes when I came to a complete stop it would drop to about 200 rpm and want to cut out on me. I took it to my local garage and the chap said that the lead to the distributor cap was badly corroded inside. He changed the cap and the lead and Ive had no...
Ive got some of the Max Power blue/white bulbs. There awesome and at only 25 quid a pair there excellent value for money. Only problem is, I keep getting flashed at night cuz people think Ive got my main beam on
Id reccommend Tint-a-Car based in Lemington Spa. They have loads of branches dotted all over the place so theres every chance you wont have to travel far to get to them. Theyre also mobile as well!
I had an alloy wheel refurbed there about three months ago. It only cost me 40 quid (inc. VAT)...
Hey everyone!
Im looking for a decent pair of side skirts to fit my Clio RSi (96) that will complement both my Joker 1 front and rear valances. Any suggestions would be great cuz I cant afford the Esquiss ones :(
Ive got a Pioneer KEH P5900R up for grabs if anybody is interested. The headunit is aprox. 2 years old but in mint condition.
Its primarily a radio/cassette tape player but if any of you have a Pioneer cd changer, or no of anywhere you can get one cheap, then it will also play cds. In...
Can anybody give me a rough idea for how much it would cost to have the rear valance from the Joker 1 body kit sprayed and fitted?
Also, are the clear lexus lights for the Clio limited edition or will they be available in the near future?
Cheers guys!
I was considering buying a Panasonic headunit a while back but I was told that if I did so, my existing Pioneer cd changer wouldnt be compatible. Im not sure if you could buy some sort of adaptor though.
Hope this is of some help
I know of people that have had performance exhaust systems fitted and have found that anything below 2,000 rpm is irratic. Its almost as if power low down has been sacrificed for much higher revs.
Has anyone else experienced this?
*sigh* Im really confused now! Some people say that a Magnex system is quite subtle when the car is driven normally but others are saying its really noisy!
Do the pros of having a performance exhaust system out-weigh the cons?
