I've had mine painted white
The main thing is making sure the spray is perfect otherwise the car is largely ruined
The finish on mine makes the original factory spray job look amateur

A Renaultsport upper front grill is only £43 from reno aswell to finish the look

^ what he said
A 172 Cup has a lower offset than the rest of the renaultsport clios meaning the wheels sit marginally further out giving the 10mm wider track
All the hubs are the same apart from the lack of abs
The myth about the wider track is only due to the different wheel offsets
A 172 Cup is ET38.5
182 and Trophy is ET45
The lower the offset the more they stick out giving the 'wider track'
It won't need to be a sport model, any side airbag will do although I don't think they came on mk2 ph1 models apart from the 172's so your best bet will be any mk2 ph2 2001 onwards
The tyres are already lower profile than the 15's on a dynamique
172 wheels usually have 45 profiles on
Dynamique wheels usually 55 profiles
The difference in the rolling radius is tiny, the ride quality will be far more noticable due to the lower profiles
If you do go through the insurance i'd say it'll be a CAT C due to a combination of age and damage
You could PM Winston as he was breaking a Ph1 172 the last i heard and the full rear end of it was in perfect order
