Cheers John i'll ask next time i'm at Reno
Before FCS:
- Galvanised wheels nuts
- Some centre cap grommits to protect hub nuts
- Subtle graffix are made but not getting fitted till the paint has been machined
- Cat back exhaust
Future plans:
- Coilovers
- 50 profile tyres when needed...
Totally agree about needing to go lower and increase the tyre profile that will be done in time i'm just pleased she's back on the road
I think 16's are the best size for clios in terms of style vs handling but i deliberatly went for the 15's to match the image of the car
It'll be getting...
I had the 45's brand new that were going on the gti with the vts wheels but then I decided to sell defo 50's next time
I will get it lower but that'll have to wait for the coilovers. It won't be going silly low just 'purposeful' if the 50 profiles were on the arch gap wouldn't be so obvious
Had a few funny looks driving about in it this morning, most people don't bat an eye lid at a clio white or not but 'car people' seemed to have a second glance
I'll be putting fresh liners in soon I just wanted it back on the road to get to works today
The Apex springs aren't good in terms of ride quality I got them purely as a short term lowering measure
I'm keeping the silver badges otherwise it'll not look like the real macoy that I based it...
Just apex springs for now it should settle more than shown in the pics it just hasn't moved yet. Coilovers are to come but i've spent enough on the car for the time being
Not sure on the badges, i'll leave it how it is for a while then decide what to do
Got it lowered today along with the wheels
What a difference wheels make to any car but this proves the point more than most
Just got to fit the front bumper tonight then its near enough done
Some progress pics from during the day:
I'll get an unpainted boot lock surround when I see one but they're rare as they only come like that on vans, i didn't want to paint it black as it would be glossy and all the other black plastics are unpainted so i went for white for the time being
Well its been pi55ing it down for most of the day so not done much
I've got the rear bumper on and all the internal plastics and grommits finished
Think i'll get the new shape Renaultsport badge for the bootlid to break it up abit
Went to renault to pick up a 182 exhaust tailpipe trim...
I've been out most of the day quad biking... great fun!
I only really did all the internal plastics / doorcards etc so no real visual change to report today
I saved the pic a couple of years ago can't remember where from
I'd have a Cup spoiler if they came in unpainted orange peel finish plastic but they don't. I may get one in time but I like the contrast between the black unpainted and the white... its kind of back to basics and I think it works
Got the headlights in earlier along with all the interior plastic and door cards
Aerial is back in and wired up
Built up the bumper, just going to put the Cup spliiter on then it'll be back on the car
