Haha! Does the fitting proceedure I've gone through sound about right? I'm tearing my hair out atm trying to get them to work. Standard halogens are making my dick flaccid.
Has any wiring to the battery got to be made (none came with the kit for that btw) ??
Bought the kit as reccomended by Stevo and JonesyFX, been having difficulty getting it working. Could someone tell me where I may have gone wrong...
With the bulb in situe, I've plugged the connector nearest to bulb into the cars standard bulb connector (which I assume provides the power)...
Tell you what mate, you're a star for that.
On a PH1 tape player thing the sticker is different to the tuner list on the later 172 cd slot but it doesn't take long to find out which 4 digits you need to input into the code calculator, a letter followed by 3 digits.
Thanks again.
Interesting stuff. I can't quite work out whether the extra outlay for the expensive stuff will recoup itself for me, pains me when I see 1.44 come up when I reach for the Ultra unleaded pump!
IF you've not chose a venue yet, me and 10 mates did Canon Raceway a few weeks back for my birthday. It's located in Coseley just off the Birmingham New Road. Really good indoors track we thought, with 10 people it came to £300.
Elf stuff is decent for the money, but nothing special. The best oils as someone else has said are the 'esther based' fully synthetics such as Gulf, Pro Race S, 300v etc.
Redneck at heart is our Ste. Do you know Tom Bolton, BMX'er, has a 106 gti with throttle bodies? He's got those lights on the roof of his Land Rover Defender, serious blinding power lol!
Amount of taxis you see on 250k+ miles, I don't see why with adequate servicing this should be any different :)
Nice one.
P.S. Have you sent those parcel shelf bits out yet :rasp: ?!
Looks nice that Mark, only thing I reckon could improve your set up is some Eibach springs, for £150 that they cost they're meant to make a nice difference with little compromise to the ride quality.
Love the ZS, Al_G
Towb, spec a zs up nicely and you've got a top motor.
Btw, no shame in having your first car bought for you, seems to be a stigma on here about it at times!
Certainly mate, particularly with being local.
I'm planning on doing FCS first just as an introductory thing really, a couple of 15 mins sessions.
Same as you my car is totally standard and I largely intend to keep it that way bar a set of Eibach sportlines and some uprated brakes.
