Ben!
Ive tried them as well, preferred the Targa Sport though, but today I have yet again been chasing around for seats. Tried some Sparco seats( Pro2000 ) at granprixracewear, and they were brilliant, but not reclining.
Then I went to Renault, who kindly warned me about the seatbelt...
It all depends how much you want to spend, what you are going to use the car for etc. I have just sold a Caterham, and I can assure you the Cup is positively luxurious compared to the Cat!
We intend using it for track days, and it is pretty good for this purpose. I am happy with mine.

I have been and still am checking out seats. AutoXs in Milton Keynes had a few Corbeau seats on display, and one of those was OK.
Ill also pop down to Grandprixracewear at Silverstone Circuit this week, and try a few more.
Let me know how you get on!
Started out with a Rover V8, then a Citroen BX17 Diesel. After that, things started to roll, I bought a Renault 19 16v and modified it until it was undriveable. So I bought a Corrado VR6 which blew up in four days, and then another VR6 that was a gem.
Then I bought a Subaru Impreza Turbo with...
Yeah, I dont see the point in trading it in either. The MK1 in my humble opinion looks the bollox, and goes just as well.
Im rippin the seats out of mine and trackin it though, so it was the logical thing to do(?!). I wouldnt be so keen on ripping the seats out of a "proper" 172, as they are...
Well said, technicalman. I had two Corrado VR6s back in 96 and 97, the first one had a serious problem, and I traded it in for the second one, an N registered car.
The Storm had aircon and usually cream leather, as well as a slightly different wheel design. Otherwise the same car.
Fantastic...

Sorry to ask, Craggy( I think someone else asked this ), but why is your Williams so fast? I thought they did the ton in about 20 seconds normally? You must be well chuffed!:)

Cool, Sangy. Ill do the same then. Went to look for some decent seats as well today in Milton Keynes, sat in a few Corbeau seats, and one of them was quite good, at £201 plus 45 squid for the frames. Might do that as well.

"but make sure you hold on tight to that wheel as on an uneven road it throws you all over the place!"
Wise words! I do my AP22 runs on a quiet, empty stretch of B road, which demands a lot of wrestling...
Anyone know what oil is in the Cup/172 from factory? And what oil would be best to run it on? I have always been a bit partial to Mobil One, but just dont know.
Advice appreciated!
Cheers!

I ran mine in for fifteen minutes after which I booted it everywhere I could. The car goes like stink, and I racked up the same acceleration figures as I did in my well run-in Integra Type-R using the AP22, so I am well pleased.
