    What engine oil is standard

Anyone know what oil is in the Cup/172 from factory? And what oil would be best to run it on? I have always been a bit partial to Mobil One, but just dont know. Advice appreciated! Cheers!

    Calling Cup 172 Owners!

I ran mine in for fifteen minutes after which I booted it everywhere I could. The car goes like stink, and I racked up the same acceleration figures as I did in my well run-in Integra Type-R using the AP22, so I am well pleased. :)

The possible demise of the site

Right. Being quite new to Clio ownership, but not so new to life( I am a whole year older than Squirt! ), I thought Id chip in on the bullsh*t. Personally, I believe we shouldnt discriminate against people, usually younger than me, who cant afford top of the range models. We all have to start...

Ist AP22 run in the CUP.

Settings obtained for the Mk2 Clio on this site. I dont pay ANY attention to thje bhp figures, I am afraid. When I tested my Integra it came out as 190 bhp at the wheels! Lol, I wish!! The interesting thing is that I do my tests on the same stretch of tarmac, and that the Cup posted almost...

    Brake pad upgrade-recommendations

Thanks. I have just been leafing through the Demon Tweeks catalogue, and I am tempted by the SRF fluid. Do you see any problems with normal road use? And are the Ferodos fairly benign for the road as well, in other words, do you have to warm them up before the breaks bite?

    Brake pad upgrade-recommendations

I am off to the track now that the Cup is warmed up, and I need some advice for a good pad upgrade. I used EBC Green pads on my Integra, which were a good compromise for road and track, although they dusted like a friggin coal mine. However, there was very little fade from them. Now, the ITR had...

    172 vs. Scooby STi 7

Spot on Ben! My sentiments exactly. I love scoobies, but they are just not the same anymore... I see you have a fantastically powerful 16v! How much does it weigh, roughly? The power to weight ratio must be pretty damn good, and I can see why putting the power down on tight corners might be a...

    172 vs. Scooby STi 7

I have owned a modified MY 97 Scoob( 245bhp/242 lbft ), and an Evo6(306 bhp ), whilst my mate was running an STi v5 Type-R. The Integra Type-R I had would easily outhandle a UK Scoob( standard ) around the race tracks, and I still think( with all due respect ) that I am right! My race prepped...

    172 vs. Scooby STi 7

Hmmm, the STi was probably not being run at flank speed, mate. It is undeniably faster than a 172, ingear figures are awesome. BenH, good stuff about the scooby. Cant wait to have a go. In the dry you should have no problems in corners though, it is only in the wet or on loose surfaces 4wd...
