My Willy has the same problem even though I never leave the parking brake on. Both rears seem to hang up and drag for a few seconds even if the car has been sitting for only a day or two. I have had disc braked cars for years and this is the first that has had that problem.
Damn, I sure would like to see a naturaly aspirated engine making those figures. Now that would be fun. The turbo is the easy way out and I would rather see a bit more engineering development like Honda did with the S2000 which makes even more power without a turbo.
On the road almost anyone with a bit of coordination. The bird loves it when boy racers try to keep up with her.
On the track only friends who I know can drive competently.
If things return to normal when you pyull up on the pedal, there is something interfereing with the accelerator linkage. Check the pedal assembly and work back toward the throttle body itself. Something is either binding or is kinked somewhere along the line and the throttle is not returning...

First place in N3. Add this to the S1600 victory in the Monte Carlo and the Clios are kicking butt!
It might be nice for Cliosport to send themn a...
Paul Newman won the his class at the 24 hours of Daytona after his
70th Birthday!
Stig Blomqvist is driving in the Swedish Rally this weekend. Hes pushing 60.
Just as there are a lot of old codgers out there who have lost it or never had it, there are plenty who could...
I know wht you mean, but maybe the little incident with you was a one-off for the geezer. As pissed off as you may be, statistics are skewed in favour of the old fellas.
He isnt the only one, but hes probably paid his dues over the years. Everybody fecks up now and again. How many young...
Hey, while we have our wits about us, we should cut the oul wans a bit of slack. Poor bugger hasnt got that much longer to go and whatever about his poor driving, you were able to avoid an accident.
Thats all of us, all too soon...
Not sure if anyone has posted this one before but it looks pretty informative...http://www.auto-imports.com/wheelweights.htmlhttp://www.auto-imports.com/wheelweights.html
In Ireland they are always setting up roadblocks to look for tax discs. The really stupid thing about it is that they set the roadblock up on a 60MPH stretch thereby creating a serious hazard. A mile down the road they could do the same thing at traffic lights on a roundabout.
The worst is...
So, to save £25 per year you are willing to go through all that crap?
It seems it would be worth it to have the disc or whatever, even if you usually park in your drive.
Rob,
Good to see that the Captains contributions to the Ecotek debate are still recognised.
I cannot believe that Ecotek can actually sell their product legally. I also wonder about Pipercross supplying them with the filter element.

In the USA we used to take our cars out on frozen lakes, get then up to about 110 or so and spin them. I cant tell you how many 360s you get that way but its a lot!
The reason we only got to 110 was that the wheels just spun if we tried to go faster. Apparently the wind resisitance and...
Dont worry about the fluid loss. Plug the ends to minimise it but youll probably be doing a flush or at least a serious bleed job so youll be addin new fluid anyway. The trick of putting the film over the reservoir is a good one to keep the loss to a minimum. If you force the pistons in...
Hey, I love cars as much as anyone, perhaps even more than most. I have raced and rallied and owned some special cars and really appreciate others who care for their cars. I also take my car out on the ring every week. If I am willing to thrash the hell out of it on a regular basis and risk...
Too many times I have driven around a carpark looking for a space only to find that some arse has taken two spaces for his "special" car. Whether the car park was empty when he parked, half full, or if those were the last two spaces available doesnt matter to me. He is being selfish and...
If I ever see a car taking up two spaces, I park right next to the drivers door. I think that is one of the most selfish things anyone can do, next to parking in the handicapped spaces. I dont care if the car is a banger or a Ferrari. Its just a car!
Well, if I could ever get in touch with Renault Sport, I might get some stuff done to my Willy. Cambelt, engine/gearbox mounts, new suspension, ECU etc.
Problem is getting in touch with the buggers. No response to emails yet and check out the Renault-Sport website. All sorts of neat cars...
