hmm, to be honest mate i think you would struggle to see gains of 50bhp, but anyway, if your arsed about performance, i reckon the RSi is your best bet!
The 200lb springs were far too hard and i sent them back and got the R5 springs, 175lb i think. with the 200lb springs the car would bounce down the FLAT road!
Thing is with this 2 splines 1 spline business, i dont think it works like that. I have taken the rear beam to pieces and worked out how it works and to be perfectly honest there is no way that whoever adjusts the torsion bar can rotate it just 1 spline there are loads of teeth on the torsion...
was worth selling it cos got some money for it and the guy who is having my engine said he wouldnt give me any money for it. Its a differnt drive without the chip, the car is quite torquey but only comes to life between 4500 and 6000, with chip it was less torquey but had more low down and it...
b*****d!!!! spent ages waiting for replies(thankyou to ABSOLOUTELY everyone that did) and i didnt read them before i fixed it! anyway, today i attempted the unplug ECU while engine thing is running and it didnt work. So i got K3NNYs ecu from his J-reg valver(no immobiliser!) and the car works...
should be pretty simple mate, the guy who said the ABS still worked and the light didnt come out...are you sure you took the right fuse out? If you take the fuse out it will dis-able ABS without any drawbacks
no he has tried it, he says he swears by it and would be very surprised if it didnt work but he also said forget everything i told you after you have done it!
i have owned 2 clios over the last 2 years, absoloutely NO problems except for ones that i have made by f**king about, even then it has been sorted well. a few of me mates own clios and thery have also had NO problems, your just unlucky mate
well said. the whole reno stereotype does not apply to me or anyone i know who owns renos so i dont know where all this "renos are sh*t" thing is coming from
......hmm, just spoken to someone that has been recomended by all the garages in my area, reno couldnt help me and mentioned the same guy. He says, i need to put the ecu that i am keeping in the coded car(wkdlads), fire up that car, disconsct the ecu while the car is running and then put that...
No, the front can be adjusted as high or low as you want, thats the advantage of coilovers! the rear was set to match front after you have decide how low you want it! i had it brought up twice at the front because when i originally got it fitted it was far too low!
Rang reno they have given me the number of a specialist because they said they prob couldnt fix it , basically i need to know if there is anything I can do before sending it away for a big bill. is there an immobiliser by-pass switch? what exactly does the standard reno immobiliser immobilise...
Not sure how much lower mate, it could have gone much lower BUT handling would be sacrificed, think it cost about £500 fitted, the rear shocks are damp adjustable, can be very stiff or quite damping. The fronts are full coilovers, i.e. height and damping adjustable! you have seen me just before...
could be the box mate, i THINK that the willy box has a longer fifth so the valver engine would struggle to porduce enough torque to get you past 120. Another big point is, on my clio and others i have spoken to, keeping your foot planted in fifth is no good, you have to gradually put your foot...
Gaz are height and rebound adjustable. i think i was one of the first people to put GAZ coilovers on my clio and i had to change my front springs cos they were originally to hard. i now have R5 springs and they are fine, set them up for softest setting for everyday driving, and tighten them up...
T-cut will take off paint layers but not when it has been laquered, so basically it will take of the excess paint on your mates up to the level of the laquer!
