Damn, I tried to find Pagids and ended up with Ferodo DS 2000s. Just put them in today along with a set of front rotors. Well at least they will be better than the OEM brakes which were Ferodos as well...

In those cars it was WOT all the time unless you were on the brakes.
But that was the cheat at the time and it was virtually identical to the Ecoteck. And a whole lot cheaper!
The engines were horrible OHV pushros non-crossflow straight sixes with a carb that would look right at home on a...

Reminds me of the old baby grand cars in the IMSA circuit back in the early 70s. The Amercian Motors Gremlins or whatever it was they were running were restricted to the stock one or two barrel carburettor. What did they do?
They did an Ecotek. Drilled a bunch of holes in the bottom of...
Camber: It seems you cant get enough negative camber. Tip those buggers in and you will see the difference. And the outside shoulder of your tyre will thank you.
A bit of toe out actually worked for us on the track. A toe out car seems to turn in a bit better and since you are on the power on the straights, a 0 toe car will actually be toed in a bit and scrubbing a bit of speed.
Having said that I could be completely wrong about the toeing in on full...
Hey this is really nice. I like blue. Sort of like my Willy. The car that is.
Just put new discs and pads on it today and rotated the tyres. Front to back. Hate it when it chunks down to the cords like that!
Cheerio!

Yeeeeeeeeeees give us more.
I think the Ecotek "debate" is brilliant. Love it. If one is good surely three or four will be even better. I just love their website as well. So informative. Very scientific. And can I have a chrome one? Did you see all the processes they ahve to go...

Got it apart and the piston sort of screws in. I hope that is the proper way of doing it!
Defeated by the little torx headed bolts that hold the outer pad on though. What are they all about? My replacement DS2000 pads certainly dont have any holes for them to screw into that I can see. Got...
How to release the piston to get it to retract? Is there some sort of gizmo related to the emergengy brake that keeps the piston from retracting? I seem to remember similar things in other cars but Ive never seen anything like this. It could be the same in the Peugeot 205 GTis as they take...

Im all for Group A and N and even the good old group B. The fact that the manufacturers had to build a bunch of cars to homologate them for competition meant that we got a lot of decent cars to play with. Quite often the factories would lose money on each and every example of the homologation...

In the Nurburg area even the Renault Spyder drivers wave to me in my Willy. I guess it is because we are outnumbered about 1000 to one by the Porsches, Ferraris, BMWs etc.
