Come on all of you 1/4 mile addicts. Get out on the track where the fun begins where you leave off at the strip. And seeing that smooth is fast, you will probably put less wear and tear on your machinery on the track.
Id be there if the ring wasnt just up the road...

Ye arent all poseurs I hope. Get yourselves out on the track and enjoy your car!
Seriously, you will have lots of fun and will be a better driver for having done it!
Good thinking. It probably is exceeding the design limits as far as wiggling around in the bay is concerned.
Is there a Renault motorsport catalogue? The guys here havent much English and I have none of their languages...

Just switch them front to rear and youll be OK. Check closely that you havent any cord showing at the sidewall.
Use up your old tyres at track days and driver educations. It is better to have slippy tyres and learn how to drive than to have the latest gumballs and go fast...

There are a few spots on the ring labelled "Sprunghugel" or jump. If you dont jump, you are just not going fast enough. And there are plenty of spectators there to keep you honest. The firast one at Pflantzgarten, in particular is interesting. You can either brake before or after the jump...
My Willy has been popping out of gear on landing after a jump or sometimes entering Karussel whilst lapping the ring. It happens both in third and fourth and can be a bit disconcerting at times. Are there stronger gear selector detents available for motorsport use? Has anybody else experienced...
Lets see where do we start? On the Autobahn I can pull away from most of the traffic after roadworks but soon enough the quicker ones start drifting by again. All sorts of rather ordinary cars are capable of 135mph/220km/hr plus these days.

Looking to replace all the rubbery bits on my Willy. Would like to stiffen it up a bit. Who makes the best bushes and where do I get them?
Anybody here with race/rally experience with a Willy?

For those of you that havent done anything like this before, I can tell you that it is a blast and you will not regret getting out on the track.
It blows rr days, drag racing and just about anything else into a cocked hat.
In Car Entertainment at its best.
Just do it!
As for me I...

1964 TR 4 rustbucket although it was only about 6 years old at the time. An absolute piece of junk. Rear main seal, exhaust, engine mounts, speedo cable, you name it, it went. Then some arse stole the knock offs.
I had a 1980 mini 1000 in Ireland which was lots of fun. The speedo needle...

Maybe the Cup is a UK only thing but has anyone asked the importers for the price on a Jean Ragnotti? I wonder if one of those could be had in RHD. Same car...
And I am one of those oddballs who has driven many a car with no radio, AC, ABS etc. and loved it!

The production numbers quoted for the Willy I surely only apply to the UK market as I drive number 3369!
I would love to see the official figures. surely somebody out there has them!
