there is a website though (based in taunton i think) who sell them for cheaper. cant search right now while at work but think it may be performance direct?
may be going...
jesus 5:54am!!
assuming they are for the road you would be advised to stay away from magnesium alloys as they are too britle (?) for the road - meant for the track (cup racers use them)
depends on ur budget really. lookin at big $s for properly light weight ones
fks would be the ones i would get
i have a set and they are very nice
may be able to get the fks for cheaper (i seem to remember someone on here being able to get them cheap?)
wheels are too britle (?) for the road (think they have too much magnesium in them or something)
probs just better getting some 15" turinis
i dont see why you wouldnt be able to get it that low although not sure on the back (my fks dont go THAT low at the back)
personally i would go for fixed
of course you will need to try them 1st to see if they are comfortable for you (a lot of halfords have a few out to try) because i was thinking (one of my many ideas) of getting corbeau forzas but after sitting in them in halfords they are waaaaaaaaay too...
:D best colour tho
not too keen on those meggy cabs
certainly wouldnt have 1 in a diesel tho! put the roof down and drive thru a tunnel to hear the mighty roar of the arga under the bonnet
its really not that difficult
u just take the suspension unit out (shocks and spring together) take it apart, put the new spring in, put it back together and put it back on the car
simple as that
theres a guide on the cs main page (yes there is other things to this site than this) on how to change springs
tells you what you need and how to do it
only trouble is my membership has expired and cant get into it or i would of copied it for u
i am reserving judgement until its finished
it does look alright but the work doesnt seem to be up to much but ill wait and see what the finished article is like
i have one
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y90/ckweston/P1010405.jpg
look alright and sound quite nice but fit isnt too good but as gary said - they r alright for the money
when driving along a real flat smooth bit of road i get a kind of rumble every so often (kind of feels like its slowing me down as well)
now tbh ive never had/felt a buggered wheel bearing so im not sure what they feel like but this only does it on real smooth roads and its not a constant...
it will just be the noise mainly
maybe a very slight increase but nothing really noticeable
i have the ktec ramcharger induction kit which is alright (nothing amazing). they do a pipercross viper induction kit for it now which is more expensive but maybe worth a look
the coils on the 1.4/1.6s are just as bad (theyre pencil coils).
the AA man had to come out and fit another one for me a while back...... at 10:30am and he had already done another renault engine which had the same fault that day!
sorry to sound a bit stupid but is this "porting" or "gas flowing" where they make the inlet manifold all nice, smooth and shiney?
and how much does it cost to do it properly?
