Help my car breathe

  1.6 16v clio priv

Can anyone reccomend an induction kit for the clio 1.6 16v. Obviously all a universal one is gonna do is growl a bit but is the most expensive neccasarily the best. Should I go for a k57i, gen2 viper typhoon. Anyone had good results with any of the above or others. Currently have no other mods but will be getting a powerflow full system exhaust.

thanx guys

any idea if if a new induction system will provide more power on its own or just more noise (not that thats a bad thing) or will I bee needing a few other bits and a remap to make a difference.

the traditional view is that an induction kit will provide better breathing.

but more often that not it will just create a lot of noise, suck in more hot air, and reduce MPG. This is esp true if you spend most of your time stuckin traffic/town driving.

However there are a few sealed units now available, so my advise would be that if you have to, go for a sealed unit with a good cotton filter, and as little metal as possible

it will just be the noise mainly

maybe a very slight increase but nothing really noticeable

i have the ktec ramcharger induction kit which is alright (nothing amazing). they do a pipercross viper induction kit for it now which is more expensive but maybe worth a look

The Ktec system has been used by a few forum members and comes highly recomended I think.

k-tec are certainly not recommended by quite a few people on here, poor grade stainless, poor fit, awful sounding note

cant state how dissatisfied i was with mine, quite a few others share my views

Well im definately going for a sealed unit. Mostly I drive at off peak times cause I work shifts so idling in traffic isnt an issuse. I was thinking of going for the viper. Ill let you all know what its like (noise power mpg etc) but it wont be for a few months yet the exhause comes first.
