a knock on full lock only is common
if really bad or permanent, get sorted @ decent tyre/brake specialist (Reno will prob. want £hundreds and fu*k it up)
as he said - by the time you add brakes etc. + insurance probs, best go for the real deal!
or if insurance a prob, try chipped dCi (as quick as 1.6 16V)
very easy to swap - rolling diameter is very similar with 15, 16s and 17s.
check out on www.miata.net (up to 2/3% won't notice difference)
basically - as you lose comfort, you gain looks & grip (if avoid cheap tyres on new rims)
ppl will argue all day over handling, but I'm happy going...
don't worry about that mate - your lucky if they remember to change the oil at Reno!
seriously, they will not touch ECU unless you have a problem, Superchips will re-set for free anyway!
ALSO, you don't have to go to Main Dealer for service to keep warranty as long as go to a VAT...
nice!
that is so rare - fit birds in fast cars - LURRRRVVVLLLY
BUT easy to find fit birds in bangers and old bangers in fast cars!
^^ last one is usually Mutton dressed as Lamb with overkill on the tan and gold bling

sounds great, but is it just too blinkin' refined?
I love the fact that my Wife hates my bone-shaker - if I had a 197 she'd borrow it :-(
apparently the Chavs hang out @ B&Q or Tesco
maybe we should 'cruise' thro with a string of mint motors (but not stop in case the wheels get nicked)
then go somewhere nice!
I just fear that Reno have done was Pug and VW did over the years - bigger, heavier, more refined, bigger, heavier, slower....................then thay had to plonk a turbo on the Golf to get it back.
205, 206, 207 (bit fat lardy arse - the £14K GTi HDi is slower than my chipped 1.5)
Golf...
0.5mm - 1mm tread - change 'em bloody quick!
£1000 fine per wheel if caught under 1.6mm :-O
me - 20K from Toyo Proxes - changed to Yokos
P.S: cheaper to buy new set of wheels and sell old ones with part worn tyres
new tyres were £400, so sold old wheels & tyres for £299 on E-bay...
Discontinued car - the ONLY late low mileage one in the country!
why buy one with 70K round the corner, when you can buy one with 20K for a few £100more - £45 flight, £45 quid diesel!
^ ^ you need some advanced driver training.
I don't hang about (100mph+ daily), but skid school, rally school, motorbike licence and advanced driver training don't 'alf help.
Easy on brakes cos I rarely stop for roundabout etc. cos time merging perfectly...........
NEW Front Discs & Pads (both original @ 41K)
Reno - six hours to ring back, £252.90, next week
Selecta Tyre, Kettering - 1 hour to ring back, £135.12, next day!
So guess where I went?
I'd be chuffed with that!
intervals of 12K/12 months
continental garages often better cos servicing is about half what we pay, so ppl less likely to skimp
