Think hes looking at a second hand buy, just get a year old 172 then add re-map and magnex and you will be making more than 182...:) and save yourself a packet.
I got mine put on my dads pals fault diog machine thing and it comes up and tells you the ECU code and it obviously doesnt match the standard one, I would think it would show up that your ECU has been tampered with as well.
Just remember even tho the R SPORT ECU looks the same as the standard one and has similar ecu codes the Renault garage can tell right away if its been modded, so beware if its going in for warrenty work.

Update: Car will now not start at all, car goes to turn over but just wont fire up:( Does anyone know if there is a way for the garage to tell if a car has a r sport ecu fitted? i.e has anyone else had their car serviced with the r sport on it?
The cup is very bouncy and hard, it would do your nut in if you were doing lots of m/w business miles.... The 172 suspension is so much more comfier and soack up the bumps so much better.
On another note the ECU cradle thing that loops over onto the engine mount is cracked, the little bit of metal that is held down by a bolt. The ECU box seems stable without it but could this be the reason? Maybe the ecu aint in right???? (might be talking sh*te)
