Well i got it today!!

Woohoo picked my Willy 3 engine, gearbox and interior up today, also managed to get a willy 3 spoiler and bump strips!

The engine has got a Hill Power Ram air i/k with the heat shield Bonus!!

Just gotta get it fitted now!!

Cant wait to getit all in now! Am gonna replace my heatermatrix while im stripping it out!

They have just got another in mate that there breaking!! 54k on the clock just got some fire damage (understatement)

Cant afford to insure a willy (Gp17 IIRC) or maintain one so have now got a de-badged willy (well sort of anyway)! Justgotta make the handling better!! Oh and the braking!!

Surely the insurance on 16 valver with a 2.0 willy converion is going to be the same/higher than a Williams.

Neil the 2.0 conversion is virtually impossible to tell by just looking at it, even the most trained eye will find it difficult to spot especailly if its using the 1.816v manifold.

An insurance scuteneer would have to measure the ccs of the engine to tell the difference, can you imagine one doing that?........... Highly unlikly

the williams seats/interior may give it away?

but good luck to you - should have a mighty motor once youve completed it! Ive recently owned a williams 3, awesome car - pulls like a train from low revs with a lovely growl - I miss the motor, but not the bodywork problems!

btw, meant to say - those seats look brand new - should look excellent when theyre in

tbh, I think the williams seats are comfier & more supportive than the 172s

Theyre absolutely mint mate so is the blue carpet!!

Steering wheel and gear knob look brand new too!!

So much more confy then the 16v ones and they have lumber support which 16v dont have and they got adjustable seat height which the valver dont have either!!

Update- Willy interior is now fitted and looks mint! Well blinging!!

Was crawling under my motor at 11:30pm last night in the rain and got f**king soaked but was all well worth when i got up this morning to goto work i was like a kid with a new x-mas present trying out the new toys!!

Only problem i have is the External Temp gauge dont work!! Any ideas??
