had new ball joints fitted to my old RT and thought i was micheal schumacher. took a bend at 90(i only dare take it at 70 in my valver on coilovers!!) under steered, went to correct it, oversteered, spun round at about 60mph going backwards across a dual carriage way. bent my axle and shattred a...
didnt think anyone would believe me, thats why i didnt post straight away. tell u what, next time you pull alongside one of these, give it a go and you will be very surprised. If anyone was at stanley green last night they will believe me:D
it is DEF a 20v turbo. its my mates, he lives down the road form me. the reason i havent raced him before is because i thought he would cane me. just did it for a laugh and was VERY surprised with the results. as was he. strange thing is though, he claims he hits 100mph by the end of the strip...
every thursday night there is a meet in wilmslow that i usually attend. We set up races on a little straight strip that there is. Last night i "raced" a saxo VTR. how embarrasing for him. Then i raced my mates..........Fiat coupe 20V turbo. this strip is just long enough for me to get up to 70...
erm....thats a 6R4!!! (i think thats what they are called:oops:) they got banned in there rally class because they dominated!! they are supposedly fast as f**k!! not sure what engine but some one was comparing it to a clio V6
im coming!! but OJ isnt in his green RT, he has sold/selling it and is getting my mates golf G60!! im gonna be the slowest in the group again....M3 evo followed by a coupe 20v turbo and a G60, oh and is that a clio all the way back there:cry::(
BTW i get the feeling people dont get the point of the post. im not comparing the two RRs, im going off the latest one, it is showing my clio to be producing less than 137bhp(standard) when it should be 5-7 over. just wondering what peoples views were
ok boys, after the latest results.....(drum-roll)
0-10; 0.99sec
0-20; 2.00sec
0-30; 3.04
0-40; 4.30
0-50; 5.77
0-60; 7.45
woo hoo, got another 0-100 of 19.02. had to stop though cos my clutch was slipping on take offs:cry:. i caned it around so engine would warm up then put 8...
getting power down hasnt been a MAJOR problem, i let the clutch off gently at around 4k. i reckon once i start pissing about with the air box i might do a bit better cos its REALLY restrictive at high revs.
cant do quarter miles yet cos its too dark to see the screen!
7.5 isnt bad but thats...
just been out with adis AP-22, best 0-60 time of 7.50sec, but three times out of around ten runs i managed exactly 7.69sec. only one go at 0-100 and that was 18.2x. does this seem right for my mods? this was using standard air box and filter not piperX
nxt week? i will pay for a power run if you put it on adi, i would really like to know. suppose we can compare a bit more on saturday, with the ap-22 and that. The plac is in urmston, about 20min from trafford centre
my clio has 25k miles, serviced very regularly, mongoose straight through exhaust and de-cat pipe, hill power stage 1 chip and piperX induction kit with a very effective heat shield. i had it RR in stockport and was told 144bhp at the fly. they gave me a graph with no labelled axis, they just...
yeah i have, got 144 at th fly. since then ive had a cambelt change and oil change. the rollers i used for the 144 run were different/older then the one that gave me the 130 figure. been talking to some people about this today and the RR that gave me 130bhp is one of the most accurate in...

did LOADS of phoning and going to see places today. Zex nitrous seems to be the best option so far, not gonna bother with a progressive controller. Looks like i will have to fit it myself though, but prices on Zexs seem to differ, from £350 to £700. had my car rolling roaded too and my car is...
