only thing i will say is get a branded PSU, honeslty, don't scrimp on it, as if they're s**t they'll break, short out your mobo or worse, not worth risking, not enough people prioritise their choice of PSU, everything else is wicked, lovely spec. the corsair are reliable, guranteed and modular.

yeh just make sure you buy a fan filter thing...cause thats the sort of case that will cake your parts in dust! cheap mind u.

i went for a 625 corsair one....very good for the money and good reviews. i've got a q6600 clocked at 3g on it no problems. think you'd get away with less, but i'd stick with 600+ to be safe unless you monster overlcocking it on water or something..

that bundles is very good tbh, easily clockable processor with that heatsink. get 3gig without blinking an eye. case is nice...although you'd had to get a psu too and a gcard....but as i've said before the gcard could be pretty cheap as the games your running are old

i guess in some respects it's ok for the money, gcrad and monitor are cool but tbh the chip is slow, the case is f**king ugly and the ram is bottom speeds....just wouldn't expect the monitor to be up to much

no you can't convert them with tversity. Use the program posted above, it's called mkv2vob.exe easy to use. in ps3video9 the mkv passthrough is in the profile options. when you're in the convert screen, select ps3 and then mkv passthough. i'm going to try that shortly to see if it's quicker...

on video9 (which there was little point me using as the program i posted is simplier and works) your supposed to use the mkv pass-through option which demux's the audio and remux's it with the video stream into mp4. apparently, it's very quick. let me know how u get on

so far looking good, tversity all working and transcoding automatically to 1900x1080p. Runs HDWMV nicely. Just converting a .mkv file using the converter i poster and then i'll stream it and see what happens!

Thought i'd make a thread on this as after reading on avforums it seems ps3 video 9 (free download) seems to work with converting to mp4. Has anyone tried this? does it retain HD quality as mp4? i'm going to give it a go with a 1080p.mkv trailer and i'll post back results, cause it could well be...

ps3 will be better overall using 720p mate, get the ps3 to output to that.

i have it on full though 1080p which doesn't look very good but on 720p full looks ok.

why? you reusing old bits? seems like a waste of money dude, best get one with a £20 pci card or intergrated grahpics till u can afford one. otheriwse it'll be harder to upgrade in future. If your dead set on it, i imagine ebay will work for you..

BB is capped on both at peak times, although i've heard sky is worse. My virgin is pretty good tbh, and i'm geting a free upgrade from 4mb to 10mb, so sign up for the 4mb if you can. also you get fibre connection with virgin which is better than sky.
