i did think about the X series, they do look the balls and the picture is geniunely a bit better but not enough for the price imo.
apparently 100hz 1080p is on it's way i've heard.
dude i have the 40" in my room and now when i look at it, the thought 'could be bigger' does cross my mind. You'll get used to it v quickly and ultimately i'd rather have a TV too big than too small LOL!
well i spent a lot on my main display. but for the bedroom i got a £350 32" job with native 720p display 2 year warranty, and honestly it's fantastic, easily keeps up with my sony for regular ang HD stuff. might be worth tihnking of a cheaper option as sony are quite over priced...as you know.
S series are like retail sector though...proper budget.
Perhaps technology has moved on a bit since but when i got my 40W2000 the S series was shite by compairson.
I would always go for the latest model mate, W4000 will be epic! although to get a W series for a 32" seems a bit silly? why not...
seen this before on plenty of different laptops and even desktops. might be an xp problem tbh, sometimes it works soemtimes it doesn't, i don't personally use it though so never really investigated it much.
you can get into safe mode? hmm... i would run a windows repair on it and see what happens...will prob resolve it, if not, could be a bit more serious.
nice so there is some benefit to that bit of tech they marketed you with! go for it then mate, i think my £350 joby won't be the same tbh, i'm leaving it on 720p as i've done a lot of my own comparisions with people round and stuff and we all came up with the same answers.
yeah it's lying! i looked up your model just now and natively, it's got a 720p resolution. so set everything to that. when you change your main display setting ont he ps3 to 720p everything will run at that and look nice and cripsy :)
EDIT. weird, some sites say your res is 1024x768 others says...
it's not a big issue mate tbh, 1080p as you say will only be for blu-ray. 720p still looks awesome, when you go into display settings choose 720p and everything will run at that automatically, looks better than 1080i.
unless i'm mistaken the 1080p pricessing thing will just mean it can...
yeh the program isn't for mac's though. i've read that program you mentioned was the standard choice. mkv2vob is just so frickin clever though!
dk. you should try cranking it up a notch now, get yourself some high def movies, the matrix for example looks fantastic in HD....so pleased i found...
i used them quite a bit before i moved to vista, vista pack 4 was what i was using mihgt be updated now, was really good actually, didn't change it enough to make it complicated..
yeh i've run a few mkvs through it and compared with gotsent and ps3video9, it's awesome.
Will split to 4g if you need, automatically detects foreign video filters/audio issues and encodes as necessary.
From what i understand if you have ac3 sound from the mkv it will simply reformat the...
