As long as the stereo isnt on with the ignition off the battery wont drain. As soon as you turn the stereo on with the ignition off you will start draining the battery. The length of time varies on how big the battery is, how much a load the stereo system takes. I would reckon leaving it on...

We are admin because we help run the club! As in keeping the website up and running, organising meets, answering questions, sorting merchandise, sorting new members and anything else remotly connected with running a club.

To help other members out, the usual idea of a forum! We didnt want to use a star rating for the number of posts becuase you get people posting stupid things in order to increase their stars.

You might be able to with a spacer but I dont know? I think the offset on the MK2 172 is 38mm but I have 40mm wheels on mine and have no problems. Suppose that is only a 2mm difference though. Calling Nick Read!:D

Cheers Zydered but I sorted this by going through the bonnet release grommet last week. I am all Amped and Subed up now! Just got to wait a few weeks before I start my boot install.

I test drove an Astra Coupe Turbo round Milbrook last year, very rapid car but possibly not quite as quick as my 172 but close. Hope you enjoy it and Im sure with a chip they can go much quicker than a 172.
