they look and sound mint, but.. surley you can all see if it steps out at the rear slightly there is almost no chance to recover, remove the track from that video and place a public road there and imaging some hedging and fences, perhaps a brick wall or an oncoming lorry eeek !
but surley your 1.2 stock didnt have 280mm vented discs at the front and discs at the rear like the 182`s has, not to mention better fluid and EBFD, ABS
however my 172MKII brakes were sharp as anything ive experienced before really stopped you dead, yet the 182`s surley are the same so why arent they as good ?? having said that my 172cup brakes are also good ?
its gonna be said but il say it first try not to slam on the brakes at 70mph in the wet. also check your pads.
is this a known issue with the 182`s a few people have mentioned how the brakes dont feel as positive as their 172`s did ????
hmm.. the modern engines are usually good upto 120,000 if looked after. a small diesel engine is around 150,000.
our cleaners BMW 520i (2.2 i think) has 200,000 + miles on the clock is a 1997 model 4th hand and is only now starting to need some work done to it which is pricey bought for £5k...
final point.. i dont think those who used to be into bodykits + ice are doing it as much these days, people are concentrating on Jap cars + turbo`s and weight reduction, even halfrauds sell bucket seats and amazingly Team Dynamic prorace ultra light wheel range ! its just not in fashion anymore
.. also obviously all renault + clio enthusuats are welcome, its a public forum but the forum is = Cliosport.net < with the logo in the Renaultsport colours. i dont think it was initially aimed at 1.2`s etc.. even the old main page only had specs on 172/182/V6/Williams.
cupra is bloomin rapid the 180bhp 1.8 20v turbo sounds sex when induction and proper exhaust is on.. i think over on seatcupra.net some users are running 350bhp on IHI turbo upgrades.
but simply take to jabbasport + get a miltek and you can see 225bhp quite easily with higher figure arising...
yup my bad i meant the other way round lol :D
and yes i do think 20hp is possible from 4-2-1 sportcat, induction, cams + smt6 so 170 to 190hp in fact id wager that would be spot on.
sorry but this new one looks good but its far too simular to other cars released by other manufacturers, and obviousy this is manily to do with pedestrian safety and maximising sales to make money so they can release cars that are way out there in terms of design i.e megane, vel satis etc...
if you wait a bit Ktec are doing a copycat 182 exhaust look for the 172, not only that they are doing a 4-2-1 182 manifold which is where the 182 got its extra 10hp (obviously with correct mapping also) + sports cat.
with that lot and a proper remap and a induction kit or modified standard...
agree almost the same experience for me too up top they start to pull as that 3.2 takes bigger gulps of air but is also then blunted by its boxy shape after 105mph and the clio is too unstable beyond 125mph unless modified.
id say upto a point nothing worth noting in terms of accelaration...
feck me i bet that meganes in the high-mid 5`s to sixty now. really looking forward to gains, even more so when your man gets a few more customers in and a few independant RR`d.
mainly when i get my 4-2-1 182 manifold and sport cat (ktec) + hill power induction i would like to be able to map...
they should do i had the exact same problem with mine at 12k miles on the cup under warenty same simptoms as yours, it was the mounts under the battery on the left, the engine/gearbox was sliding around, better to get it sorted or your Gb will fall out eventually.. dont worry if its under...
