No mate, can't say that I've noticed it with anyone sat in the back recently. It seems to be at sustained speeds over a certain distance otherwise it doesn't come on.
Ok, got the car back just now and they've adjusted the brake light switch as that was the cause of the fault apparently. The fault doesn't always throw up the ABS light either, sometimes it can be just ESP & serv lights.
So, fingers crossed! :)
Yeah I'm amazed that if the new tyres are the problem, that more people haven't had this issue. It's not the brake switch as mentioned earlier in the thread as this brings up the ABS light too so who knows!
Hopefully a simple 'reset' will sort it on the clip and all will be well again.
yes mate, although I don't really use it TBH I just want the lights off. Mine is in the dealers now getting it sorted so I will keep this thread posted with the results (if any).
yeah the car is going, her replacement is already lined up we just need to fix it to get rid.
Also, what implications are there in fitting a second hand engine with different mileage and engine number etc? Will this need notifying to the DVLA or similar?
The garage say there was sudden and complete coolant loss causing the engine to basically go into immediate meltdown. Hence the pistons seizing etc. I just can't understand it really! :S
It's the G/F's car and she has authorised work to begin on the new engine going in!
Thanks guys :D
I agree about the dash inserts, as with the Vees they should be as standard.
Also doing my gear knob insert and steering badge so watch this space :)
