...it's a work in progress so patience ;)
but to date, the results;
Front diamond
Dash inserts
Engine cover
oh and ignore the IK that was there when i bought the car but it's going lol!
That's the basis of my theme mate, RB through and through. The engine cover is RB as is the front diamond and the dash strips. The badges are going the same colour but with anthracite lettering to match the alloys then changing the side repeaters. :)
looks mint Andy :)
My engine cover is now done and fitted but it's not quite as mint as yours ;)
My badges are arriving this week for spraying up. No offence to Mark (:o) but I like the satisfaction of spraying them up myself. :rasp:
Sanded, primered (several coats) then sprayed, sanded and sprayed again (several times) couple of coats of lacquer. Did it quick TBH but I will redo if it's ever needed :)
lol, as you stand looking into the engine bay the box is down the right hand side under the airbox area. You may need to remove the airbox for access. Failing that get underneath the car, you wont miss it. ;)
It's 100% a 1.3 mate, the garage have phoned today and have said that the head needs skimming. Best case scenario £400 - £500 and worse case scenario £1000+
I wasn't with the car when it broke down so not 100% on the symptoms but the GF said it was smoking and steaming and then wouldn't...
Yeah exactly mate, I shall await confirmation from the garage tomorrow.
I am more than happy to do the HG myself but we can't really get it from the garage now as it's undriveable. Plus i wouldn't want to spend time and money replacing it only to find the head needed skimming. :dapprove:
Yeah sounds like a good idea, cheers mate. I will hold off doing anything though until the garage report back to us hopefully tomorrow.
Is the HGF likely to have caused any engine damage? I haven't done one since my Mk3 1.3 Escort days! lol!
The oil was checked a couple of weeks or so ago by my good self and there was no starvation, didn't even require a top up.
As for the services etc, these have always been done but she never used Ford which I think is where we'll fall flat. :( I always told her to but she insisted on using the...
but thankfully not in the 182! GF's Ford KA broke down this morning on the motorway. Mr RAC man informs us the headgasket has gone and deposited the car at a local garage. Now the car in question is a 2003 53 plate. It has done circa 26k and recently serviced/MOT'd etc. Is this feasable that the...
