182 knocks and bangs

Hello,

Ive got an 05 182 clio with 15 k on the clock but with a few bangs and scrapes in it-

1. On decluthing/take my foot off the accelerator, there is a knocking from the right hand side of the engine bay, like something isnt bolted down properly

2. on selecting first gear, there is a quiet thud from under the car if its moving at all

3. A scraping sensation under the clutch when first driving the car from cold, which renault said is sound proofing touching the cable, but im not so sure

Any help in identifying these problemos would be gratly appreciated as there starting get right on my thrupnies..

Couldn't be 100% sure, this is quite a common thing, there is an uprated lower engine mount from k-tec, people who know more should reply shortly though

cool, ktec would be last option, still got warranty remaining so gunna milk that, but i get fobbed off everytime i go to renault with 'It didnt happen when we had it'

no havent yet, I wouldnt know what to look for tbh!

I would have to check myself as I haven't had much to do with gearbox mounts thankfully but it definitely sounds like it's a problem in that area.

back to renault then! where abouts is the gear box on a 182?

lol, as you stand looking into the engine bay the box is down the right hand side under the airbox area. You may need to remove the airbox for access. Failing that get underneath the car, you wont miss it.

Not a clue, just lumps of metal to me, thats why I bought a nearly new car cuz i know nothin about the mechanics and it had a warranty, but renault dealers are so shyte, theyve sorted no problems for me in the last six months.

My brother who has a 182 cup recently had a knocking comming from the front near side, upon closer inspection a bolt was missing from the caliper!!!
