that pic looks like it is 1 in and 2 out and not really work for what you need
i've got an auto one with a remote incase the auto thing didn't work with some thing
i noticed you are after some cable to re wire your amp
i've got some black 16mm2 (think it's 6 awg) you could have if you want to come pick it up (in cwmbran so not a million miles from bristol)
if the fues holder is loose then replace that
but i sort of know what your on about with the foil as a wedge rather than to replace the fuse so to speak
have you got a photo of your fuse holder?
i had a iiyama monitor die after about 2.5 years
rang up on a firday to say it was fucked and they had a replacment at my door on the monday.
i was really shocked at how quickly they had it all sorted. if i was after a new monitor it would probably be another iiyama:approve:
my guess is too much current for the power cable you are using, thus causing a high volt drop and the amp cuts out as it doesn't have a high enough voltage.
the reason they are so cheap now is because there are alot more cars using them
and probably the factory on the the other side of the world is probably sending half out the front door and the rest are going out the back;)
looks like that makita takes the 18v Li-ion batteries
i was looking at getting the makita btw450 to go with the other 18v makita tools i've already got
the photo i posted is the only damage i had on my laptop from the dell outlet
and that was described as a scratch & dent
so i'd say a certified refurbed one would be like new
you only need to have one face off parallel to stop them
this is why most boxes you buy are wedge shaped this is to kill 2 birds
1. get rid of chance of standing waves.
2. fit most car boots better.
this might only be the case for sealed enclosures
i bought a scratch and dent one off dell outlet and i was expecting it to be fairly bad
it had a mark that looks like you had walked past it and rubbed your jeans on about 6mm of the edge and that was it (see photo)
not saying they are all like that but the certified refurbed ones would be...
make sure the wall behing the sub isn't parallel the to the wall the sub is mounted to
e.g flat front and back
this can cause really bad standing waves
yeah they just wont go full depth into the socket but thats fine
i think you can use them on the sub aswell as you tend to find the same sockets on the sub
also i'd remove the tabs shown in pic below and use crimped ring lugs on the nuts to give a decent connection
