Nice one. I sometimes wish i bought a rotary instead of a DA, as i'm sure it would be easier. But as i have never done it before thought I'd play safe. Good to know 106fa can achieve great results. Just need to practice i guess.
Sweet will try 203s. I use 3 small dots on the pad, spread it over a small panel, then turn it on speed 2/3 spread it for a few passes not to much pressure, then go up to speed 6 bit more pressure and go over steady pace about 15 20 passes or about 5 mins, then slow it back down for few passes...
will give white pad with 203s a go and might go up to green pad. It just difficult as i don't have a PTG reader and don't want to keep hacking at the paintwork making it worse lol. Also i saw your thread when you only used prima amigo and thought the difference was amazing and hid a lot of...
It weird as I'm sure I did everything right and took my time on each panel. I honestly don't think I could have done more! At the start for the first 2 hours I wasn't as good as later on as i relaxed more and found removing the polish with eraser much easier so must have not broken it down...
Got a question after using my DAS-6 Pro for the first time yesterday. As it was my first time i thought i'd start on a light polish and glaze. My car (black fiesta) is in decent condition but does have light scratches / swirl marks. Used Menz 106fa and white hex pad followed by Back hole and...
cool so probably depends on insurances. Basically want to sell my car and save up loads for a new car. but really don't want to start from scratch with no claims.
I currently have 8 years no claims. If i were to sell my car and have no car for say 3 years, will i then, come that 3 years still be able to say i have 8 years no claims when i buy a new car?
Woukd never dare to pressure wash it. Way I do it is I use APC scrub it then wipe with clean water and dry it all. Then use bumper dressing on the plastic parts to bring out the black. On metal parts i scrub with AG Machine and engine cleaner. works a treat.
from what i've read try 106fa with the black finishing pad if need to go up use the white polishing pad. otherwise 203s with the white pad first then orange if needs be. but you will need to use the finish after. think thats right.
i'm in the same boat and this is what I am getting
DAS PRO-6
Menz 106fa
Menz 203s
Hex pads orange (Medium cut) White (medium polish) Black (Finishing)
Smaller backing plate with spot pads
And currently got blackhole but will be getting prima amigo glaze once finished.
Yeah I've had Blackhole for a while. My plan is to get Amigo when it has run out. Anyone use this stuff? http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/machine-polishing-pads/polishing-accessories/carpro-eraser-intense-oil-and-polish-cleanser/prod_960.html
Finally decided going to get the following
DAS PRO-6 (adding smaller backing plate)
Menz 106fa
Menz 203s
Blackhole Glaze
Hex pads
Orange - medium cut (large pad)
White - Medium Polish (Large and small Pad)
black - Finishing (2 Large and 2 Small will use glaze with these aswell)
Hoping to...
