Great project! Will be keeping an eye for sure. I'm putting the same lump into my Mk1 golf at some point soon hopefully, so might be able to pick up a trick or two!

As said, your local dealer may well have a key to remove it. I know when I was involved with a Toyota dealership they had an official Toyota tool set of wheel bolt locking keys to match nearly every official set.
I like the fact the seller is "skodaparts.com". Clearly knows the score. So is probably getting them less than the £11, depending on what they buy them in at.

Just to follow with what everyone else above says, belts are due to be changed now. It's not a job for any old garage due to the set up. There is a list of registered/ recommend garages on here. Where abouts are you based?
I had what sounds the same when I had a 1.2 16v which turned out to be coil pack, wasn't helped by the ageing spark plugs though. New coil pack and all was good.
All well and good, but the throttle body isn't the most restrictive part of the intake system. I believe it's the upper inlets that are.
But if you have a spare one, why not play I spose
