My 172 has just clocked up 1800 miles and the seat runner hasnt started rattling yet. (touch wood) As mentioned before mention T/S and ask to see the manager. Failing that go to another renault dealer. Im lucky enough to have three dealers to choose from within a 20mile radius.

Take it back to the dealer!! it sounds shagged to me. Your car has central locking with the key fob. (also does the alarm)

Boot net (£25 worth) should be in glove box or boot. (mine was missing)

Im in the same situation mate. hopefully Ill be able to drive my 172 after wed afternoon. I tried rolling mine off the drive the other day and the rear driver side wheel was locked solid!! pumped the brake pedal a few times still no joy so in the end stuck it in reverse to free it off. Id...

I take you mean adjust sensitivity of the alarm?? I took my Mk2 172 back because it was way to sensitive. The dealer removed my head unit to gain access to the alarm unit and swapped two wires over. Apparently this is the only adjustment you can do to the standard alarm. And its worked fine since.

Id imagine its a 50/50 thing. they may well try to spin the line fair wear and tear But Id ask first, and if its not then live with the squeak.

just my personal battle with them. someone hit me head on Aug 15th (not my fault) numerous phonecalls, they say theyll phone back and never do. put you on hold for ages. Had a settlement figure for £1.2k car was insured at £2k Sent them proof for cars value, (they lost it) didnt...

Glad you got it sorted. I just hope you dont have to make a claim. Your insurance will actually be through Highway and they are sh*te!! trust me. HIC are just a broker and only deal with Highway.

make sure you get the boot net (£25 worth), should be in boot or glove box. Mine was missing, got it sent through the post. Prob never use mine but it should be included with the car

Leah. Yours is beeping because youve de activated the sensors inside. I had your problem. the dealer needs to swap the 2 wires over on the unit. changes the sensitivity. Ive had no problems since.

Mine normally just clicks (doors locking) think it beeps if either a door is open slightly. I know it beeps when youve switched the ultra sonic sensors off, but you have to do the old 2 turns in the ignition routine to do that!! Think someone else on here had the problem a few weeks back...

my washer bottle was changed under warrenty when it kept dumping its load within 5 minutes. (took 3 attempts though)

have you checked the plastic trim under the engine bay. might be slightly loose and vibrating when accelerating

talking from my experience of the 4k rattle is when your letting off the throtle. And this is a constant rattle through the 4000 rev band. If it is the 4k rattle its normally the middle section (under front seats) and some people seem to of got it sorted under warrenty.

my 172 had a scratch on drivers wing and missing the boot net.

I believe LeeM has the clunky suspension problem aswell. touch wood I havent had any of these problems. lumpy tick over is normal.
