Well.....that's very wrong bud. No offense.
A proper job has a silicone gel base applied to the sensor and a proper pad to fit between that and the screen. That stuff is no different to using ibuleve gel or similar. It also stops working.
The stuff I posted....is a factory spec repair or...
ODD.
Neither they nor National would sell me it when I tried.....and autoglass were replacing my screen at the time......they told me to buy a new sensor to get the gel pad.
It doesn't come with the windscreen. Its fitted to the sensor.
Got a link?
Afaik.....that gel bit is something you cannot buy......think it comes with a new sensor.
However, i did a post a while ago about a product that i used to replace it and it has been perfect since.
i will have a trawl to find it

Hey guys, quick one.....probably asked before so sorry
Can the very latest rstuners use older maps? I had one of the blue translucent rstuners that I used to map my car but about to buy a later rstuner and was wondering if there will be any issues?
Cheers
J
Hi guys,
Apologies, I realised this abs specific question was buried in the engines sub-forum so hoped some exposure here would help me.
A few days ago, when i got into the car to drive home, I noted that the ABS, SERV and ESP lights were all on. When I drove off, i saw the STOP and handbrake...
Hi guys,
Not sure if this helps but i went round all my abs sensors tonight with my albeit crappy multimeter.
Not sure if this shows any issues?
Thoughts?
I had a remapped Honda, old school Superchips remap and i was able to reset calibrations etc by leaving the ecu unplugged for a while but not the base maps.
Cars only have one version of the software they run AFAIK.
Pretty sure CLiP has the power to fix what you need done......
I hope I get something similar..........always fear the worst.....had an ABS pump fail in on a BMW we had.......arse was never the same after that :/
I regret selling my RSTuner......EVERY.....SINGLE.....DAY
Superbump....anyone have one to sell?
Don't think it works that way bud.
Say, you dig that Nokia 3210 out of your cupboard that has been dead for yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaars and put it on charge, when it wakes up, it always knows how to ............phone
A remap has just told the ECU to do that differently but behaves the same way...
Abs rings are all perfect bud.....replaced all just under a year ago and back then, it only threw a problem when driving for a while.....but usually just farted the abs
This is a problem a soon as the ignition goes on
Fuse is ok too as is the speedo.

Ok....well......what about this.
There is something obviously wrong that the car reports before it has even moved.....so is there a way of checking the abs sensors?
I know they throw a signal when the wheel is rotated but I only have a turd multimeter.
So given the problem throws when the...
Hey squad,
Long time no speak (and i have let my membership lapse.....#shame)
Clio has been trouble free for so long so I can't complain, but lately....wow.....its.....well....its bucked. LOL!
Ok, I'll start.
1.) Exhaust rattles.
Well, this car has a KTec stealth cat back system on it and for...
ok gents, thanks for that......ill try to make some time to pull the belt.....wont be this side of the weekend though.
tell me this.....if i were to pull the electrical connector to the dephaser solenoid.....would it cause any bad issues, even if driven just to test it?
This constant 1500/1600...
Hey bud,
Yeah....dephaser doesn't make any "tractor" like noises at idle although there could possibly be a subtle noise there.....hard to hear when the sewing machine is running :P Was a bit miffed when Renault didnt do the dephaser when they were doing the belts but i was a bit ignorant to...
