Dont think you can tell from that I am afraid bud......looks like it has the latest Reno software at least but can't see anything related to a map.
What way was it mapped? Did they mention RSTuner etc or anything like that?

Got mine fitted too......and, well......I don't know if I did it wrong, but Christ the night.....my car is like a dildo now......lol.
Srs vibrations. I expected a bit but holy god :|
Everyone else like that?
On another note......when removing one of the 3 engine mount bolts (the top ones) one...
Hmm, ok.
It would be on my lonesome and I had factored a couple of days alone.
Probably seems about right then.
Sorry to have interrupted your thread Guy
J
You thinking something critical?
Could it be a holed piston or ring cause crazy blow by?
Swear to god, these pops and bangs things are a curse on these poor cars 😧
Great thread, sorry to see you are having to do it all again.
Honest take....how bad is getting the gearbox out the arch? How many hours did it take you bud?

Hi gang,
Faced with the looming task of a full belt + dephaser job on the Clio......I was wondering if there is anyone on here doing rentals of the tools and what are the terms/costs etc?
Really REALLY do not want to be going to the Laser tools after reading the pains some people have had...
Wee update......noted a fair bit of white dusting over the plug leads at the coil pack where they were all bunched together.
Gave them a wee wipe with a WD40 coated cloth and turned them to keep them apart.
All seems sorted now so probably a new set of leads in the near future methinks...
Cobalt bits!!
...I did some serious fruiting about with not so cheap HSS bits when i mauled one of the captive nuts in the exhaust bracket. Was getting nowhere apart from ruining bits, even with slow speed, cutting oil.....you name it.
Bought 3mm and 6mm cobalt bits.....again, not so cheap...
Superb (well not really, lol)
Now I just have to get the balls and the locking tools to do it myself.
Expect more posts doubting my ability between now and then, possibly during too :P
Cheers bud
J
I know bud.....appreciate that. The noise that concerns me is the one that slowly comes in at 18 seconds......this is after the car has settled to idle.
Sorry, missed this bud. I'll be doing the pump anyway so will leave it till I do the lot.
As long as there is not something fundamentally wrong with the engine that's enough for me :)

Hi gang,
Ok....I am back in the mood for sorting things so I r-e-a-l-l-y think I am going to have a go at the belts myself......I know what some of you will say but I am fairly technically sound and confident with the oily bits. It's bugging me that this is the only thing I am afraid of...
No workshop afraid bud.....I have to slum it in a small garage littered with kids bikes and lawnmowers :P
Fair point.....ferries across to the mainland aren't too scary I suppose, especially off season.
J
Quick shot in the dark here.....how much would it take for any of you guys @Fred@BTM @MicKPM @Dan@SJM to get yourselves over to sunny NI to do the belts, dephaser and pump on a Clio 172?
Has there ever been a group effort on this? Would there be many NI takers? How many could you bear to do in...
You could check and see if the factory stereo loom hasn't been cut or changed in any way to accommodate an after market stereo.....
They may have nipped into the CC loom to get the remote feed (for when the car is turned on or something)
J
Sorry bud.....just having a whine, been a bad week :D
'Orrible indeed fella.......on a side note, took it for a tentative first drive this morning (wasn't finished till ~2am) and ABS issues all sorted.
I have a new little gremlin though that will be related to me stripping the car I am sure...
You could probably start by swapping out the CC unit for a start......think you would get one quite cheap on here.
After that.....wiring.....horrible, stinky, French, wiring
J
Sorry for lack of replies guys.....spent ALL of yesterday on this.
Jeez dude......that kind of goes against what I use this community for, to learn or work things out myself. I did try that by the way if you will see above, with Renault who wanted £1800 to fix it.
Anyway......the news...
Right guys.....need more help.
Just replaced the ABS pump with a 2nd hand part.
And I am seeing exactly the same problem.
Also, because of it, I am struggling to bleed the system with RSTuner......I hear no pump activity at all when i fire the motor from RSTuner.
Please help.....I dont know...
That's good news at least bud.
Yeah. Looks like a bit of a pig to get at but I have the RSTuner ABS module and am hoping that will help me in the bleeding process.
