Does anyone have any suggestions ive had my car on a diagnostic test nothing appeared its as if its either missfire or an over fueling problem ?

Help flat spot between 2500rpm and 2900pm as if over fueling

Any way round this problem I thought it could possibly be shitty spark plugs got some ngk platinums on order I have bosch super in at the mo didnt have a flat spot untill either my custom cat back exhaust was fitted or those bosch sparkys were put in I cant remember

Apparently cheap exhausts can make the flat spot bigger, de cats make it much worse.
youll have to get it mapped out, but I think that it can be tricky? Not sure if it's difficult to map it out on a standard car or whether it's the decat that makes it difficult.
it's not "cheap" exhausts, it's quite simply anything with better flow than standard means that a lean spot becomes even more lean as the fuel requirement has increased but not been satisfied.
It is difficult to map out on any setup really, but it's possible, just takes a bit of effort and time

The custon ehaust I had fitted is a stainless steel cat back set me back £400 the company that did it have a good reputation. I had a feeling I may have to have it remapped tho to get rid of the flat spot just wanted to see if anyone else has had this and had any other cheaper ideas to try

Exhaust may have altered the way the car wants to dump fuel through a really good remap via ktec should iron the flat spot surely ?

no one has ever mapped out the flaspot from what ive read, normally come back after a few days, but not as bad. mine was runniing a rs tuning remap done by tdf, came back after a few hundred miles

the map sensor cable tie doesnt work, as most of them have had the flatspot come back, it was just the initial ecu relearning that solved the flatspot, once learned it comes back

Did nobody mention thats RSTuning blew a Clio 200 and took it apart and gave it back to the owner in pieces? Or was that another company up north? I am not sure. This is purely hearsay and I've got nothing to back it up however.

Except there is proof about Ktec. As what you've done on the above is libel, and should RSTuning see the need to sue, they could.
They need to contact a very specific exhaust company then and suing me would earn them about -£1000. I have no money to give

There are threads on here pages long from Ktec customers again and again describing receiving poor quality work from them, then being given excuse after excuse to avoid rectifying the work. Ktec get the write up they deserve from their workmanship and attitude on here.
You, on the other hand, have spouted off something as if it's fact based on something you may or may not have heard without a shred of evidence to back it up. I actually do not care whether it's true or not as I have no connections to RS tuning, but working in a small business I know how damaging rumours can be.

Naturally, a company with a higher customer rate will have a higher fault rate. You are only human. Yes, quality can be improved but its difficult for an extremely expanding business.

If you'd read the Ktec threads/my post properly, you'd see the reason they get slated is not for the mistakes, everybody makes mistakes, it's their attitude once their mistakes are highlighted to them by the customer. Anyway this is not about tuner wars, this is me advising you to think before you say something which could damage the reputation of someone who does not deserve the slating.

We all have our preferences, clearly this forum absolutely hates KTEC; apparently so because of their shitty warranties etc.
So, Danlp mentioned that KTEC was shyte, and that a user should go to RSTuning
I countered that and said RSTuning is shyte too, with rumours that I've heard about previous from another exhaust shop.
You counteracted with law and as I have been studying it for a while now, I thought I'd do the same as what you mentioned sounded like a threat.

I thought I would pipe up and say that from reading these forums I have saw many complaints with regards to KTEC and their mapping capabilities , I have saw NONE regarding RSTuning. I have used neither KTEC or RSTuning so I am completely impartial.

completely different to your local exhaust place telling you rstuning blew up a clio 200 and gave the owner it back in a bubble wrapped box. id think very carefully before repeating roumours like that on the internet, especially once of the places potential rstuning customers are more than likely to search!
