There are better exhausts to be had IMHO than the K-tec, if your willing to spend.
Eibachs will see the suspension sorted. After that its up to u if u wanna go further. The springs would be my first mod to a 172.
6x9s have long been known to be sh*te to anyone into their ICE IMHO. All you need are some really really good components and the sub.
The 6x9s distort as they are probably putting too much through them (or not enough power to cope with the volume that they are demanding).

Would never ever bother with left foot braking. My left foot might as well be a lead weight as far as that is concerned.
