Hi, I've had a persistent problem with my car, on a cold start, if I bring the revs up to 1800-2000rpm the engine judders quite badly and when I drive it holds back around those revs, but above and below those revs its fine. Once it's up to temperature, it's completely fine.
I've changed:

I've done a bit of work to my 172 cup over the past few weeks, finally got it back together today but it's got a ridiculously loud squeak coming from the engine bay, it's also idling around 2,000 rpm.
I've had my plenum, coil pack, upper engine mount, fuel rail and throttle body off, I've also...
Can anyone tell me if the wishbones are the same on the cup as the normal 172 and the 182?
I'm slowly buying all the parts to replace all of my front suspension on my 172 cup and I need new wishbones next, I've tried asking Ktec as they have a set on there but I've had no response.
Just had a go at bleeding again. How far am I meant to take the bleed screw out? Had to stop as the engine was getting too hot. Took the screw out about 10mm. Surely it’s not meant to come all the way out?
@imprezaworks I left it running with the cap off when i first topped it up, worth doing it again?
@Amos91 I've not re-opened the bleeder, no, I'll try that, yeah the heaters work fine.
So I changed the coolant system on my 172 cup a few weeks ago, new radiator, new expansion tank and new silicone hoses, I put just over 5 litres of Type D coolant in and pretty sure I got all the air out of the system.
Since then my coolant level has been all over the place, It was just under...
Mines genuine as far as I know, I don't think its ever been changed, I'll have to get it off and have it look. I've heard grinding the pipes off will increase how much they give you for it, less for work for them to do apparently, anyone know if it's worth doing?
I'm about to take my old cat off my 172, it still works, I'm just swapping it for a sports cat, does anyone know what kinda prices people are getting from them scrap value? My local scrap yard said they'd take it and pay me for it, but I've no idea if what they offer will be a decent price or...
So I went ahead and ordered a Nissens 63768, the company I ordered it from messaged me asking for my reg and if I had air con or not. They replied saying this radiator was incorrect and would not fit, so wouldn't sell it to me.
They then said that the part number for the radiator I need is...
Yeah I saw the one on euro car parts. Looks pretty cheap, and it said it can worth on both cars, which is clearly wrong.
Find it odd that only PMS supply the non air con Nissens radiator. Can’t find it listed anywhere else
That's the one I looked at, but everywhere else says that the cup uses the air con one,
The 1.6 with air con, would mean the radiator is for air con....yes?
Hi, can anyone point me in the right direction for the correct Radiator for my Cup?
I was going to buy a Nissens one but they all seem to be for cars with air con, obviously the cup doesn't have that. I was looking at a Direnze alloy one but the non air con version says its for the Ph1 only...
Can someone point me in the direction of the correct radiator for my car? Every one I've come across seems to be for cars with air con, and with mine being a cup it doesn't have it.
PMS have one for A/C and one for no A/C, but I don't know if the fan on the cup is a slip in or bolt on fitting...
My radiator is leaking on my 172 Cup, so I'm going to swap it for a Nissens one, just wondered if I need a different fan or will my OE fan fit fine?
Is there anything else I need to change/take into consideration when I'm swapping them over?
Cheers
I need a new cat for my 172 cup, but struggling to find a Renault one, there seems to be loads of not OEM ones out there, does anyone know if these aftermarket ones are any good?
I'd rather go down the sports cat route if I could but, they're very pricey. I don't want to go decat either, my...
