    Titanium MrBlonde

Nice. 3D printed or did you buy the base caps off the shelf? Genuine Evo Corse caps aren't cheap and aren't particularly attractive imo, so looking for other options that fit the X3MA.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Absolutely. Would love to join one of your drives as well. (I feel a bit like I've just married Frayz' ex, but they're still on really good terms and all his mates still want to see her as well.)

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Thanks to Frayz, a complete gentleman and proper enthusiast, for giving me the opportunity to acquire WZD. While it won't be my daily, it will be enjoyed and cherished thoroughly in the same manner it was in Frayz' ownership. Now, anyone want to buy an LY?

Sell as is, or get paintwork done first?

Some surface rust on top of the OS rear turret (where some water found its way in one time, hasn't got worse in years), and a couple of bubbles on the OS rear arch where a previous owner had rolled the arch (again, hasn't worsened so wasn't a priority for me). I'll be pulling the side skirts...

Sell as is, or get paintwork done first?

I've got a highly modified Liquid Yellow full fat 182 that will be coming to market soon. As it stands it has a very good spec and needs nothing mechanically, but could benefit from some cosmetics (bumper and bonnet chips and scuffs, and some surface rust.) It's not a collectors item and I'm...

    BC DS Spring Rate (road)

Yes 6/6 will be a nice setup for road.

    BC DS Spring Rate (road)

That should be nice and compliant. OE is roughly 3.25 kgs F / 5.75 kgs R for comparison. I'd be tempted to go stiffer at the front - 6 kgs - as this will aid steering response and turn-in without adversely affecting compliance.

    Agreed Value Insurance

Same here. My 182 was insured with ERS via Classicline with agreed value for £12k (until last year when I moved to a postcode they refused to cover).

Insurance companies, who do you use?

I'd say suggestions can be helpful to give others ideas for who to try, but sharing prices is meaningless unless your circumstances are directly comparable: age, record, and most importantly postcode. Try getting a quote for a modded car in East London... I've always used specialist brokers and...

LV Highway via Keith Michaels. Interestingly, other brokers were refused cover by LV Highway, so it seems Keith Michaels have some secret sauce.

    London insurance?

Ok disaster averted - managed to find a deal for £650, more than I paid last year but a lot better than £980.

    London insurance?

Anyone else with a modded Clio in Central London having trouble getting renewals? My previous insurer refused to renew based on my E14 postcode. Best price ringing around is £980. I'm in my 50s with full no claims, one SP50 from 2020.

    B14 Spring rate

I tried a 450 lbs rear spring on a full coilover which was utterly undrivable on the road. I went back to OEM fitment rear springs and separate dampers paired with front coilovers. I didn't see any advantage to a rear full coilover and was concerned that the rear turrets weren't up to the...

Is 285 lbs the actual spring rate, or the rate at the hub? I suspect the latter.

    172 cup to a R26

I had an R26.R. The Megane mk2 offers the small, wieldy dimensions of a Clio and moves around on the road like a Clio with obviously a lot more torque. The Megane mk3 despite being objectively more competent and significantly more planted feels a lot bigger and heavier and for me, less fun.

Spare wheel for a 182 Trophy

If using a 15" rim fit a 195/55/15 tyre. The difference in rolling radius between 205/45/16 and 195/55/15 is 0.4%. You're not going to cause any damage with that.

Help - stuck in N Yorks and need a sump today

I’ve just started a driving trip and have managed to get a hole in my sump. Before I get recovered home down south and forgo my trip - anyone know someone who might have a 182 sump and could fit today? Currently by the side of road near Hawes in the Yorkshire Dales

Advice! Pushing the button today on new Coilovers.

If it’s a true 8 kg rate at the rear, the car will be undrivable on the road but if it’s a pure track car that might not matter.
