I agree is doesn't have to end in tears but when asking this ^ i very much doubt if you should do this....
Also if the car is already mapped i can't see why you'd want to change fuel settings. Ignition could give you some but then again if it's mapped properly you won't see any gains. Only risks...
02m vw gearbox, has been covered many times... Scoff has developed a flywheel and adaptor plate for it.
look at efi-parts.co.uk,
would need to fit audi/vw shifter box, hydro clutch, mounts and custom speedo.
i love LM's but i have to admit they don't look great on the 9. just couldnt dignify the €900 i paid for them so had to put them on. also was a bit of a challenge thing to get them to fit.
few running vids:

going to complete it tomorrow and make a few run...
thanks lads!
it wasn't my first choice of car too but it was cheap and when changing things my love for it started to grow too!
Sport wheels are going back on this season!
As promised here is my R9 project thread!
The car how I bought it in December 2010:
It was a non running 1.4, the heater matrix started leaking and the previous owner thought he would make it to the garage without coolant :P
No problem for me as this gave me the opportunity to buy it cheap...
Lol, i've been told the crown height on a f4r piston is different to a f7r piston. I have skimmed f7r pistons on low boost now but trying to lower compression further without weakening the pistons more.
Oh, it's a budget build so thats why i am not going forged (already have a forged engine too)
Wow! I really love those wheels under a Clio 3 and also love the guts to use that color combination!
How much did you pay for the seats? I have to get a set once!
Hey Arjan, why don't you just buy one off Scotty? I doubt you're going to find a single piston for sale here in NL...
However, when you do remove the broken one what are you going to do with it?
I want one to compare measurements to a F7R piston.
Thanks, Arthur
All the honda boys direct the turbo the other way around. Maybe that's the reason the exhaust is going to have strange bends. Would also be easier with the intercooler...
well i'll see how my machined F7R pistons are going to hold then....
although i would't be suprised that it's the quality off the materials nowadays due to manufacturing everything cheaper and cheaper in stead of more reliable....
lol, i hear a lot off stories of the bosch sensor giving up. should be due to the wires being quite short so the box has to be placed under the car....
anyone has experience with the AEM uego? seems quite reasonably priced compared to the others....
are forged pistons really neccesary for 300bhp?
i see many cosworth's, scooby's etc with way more then 300bhp without forged pistons....
i'm curious on how much the 197 head dropped the compression too!
right, i'm looking for a wideband a/f ratio meter and i'm wondering what brands/types you guys have experience with?
i'm thinking Innovative, Aem, Tech edge etc.
cheers!
There's a funny looking bolt next to the selector arm, if you didn't remove this one the selector arm won't come free off the selector fork thus not being able to move..
Well maybe in the UK they are cheap. Although al cars are more expensive in the Netherlands...
If you buy a 172 with minor mods and low km's you'd be spending somewhere around €6000.
172 in UK is more like €4000 including mods like Cup spoiler, cat-back, coilovers etc...
However i think a 02m...
