there are quite a few dutch guys using valvers and willy's on track and they break boxes often too, they were debating on placing an oil cooler to keep temps down. if its not the torgue that kills them at n/a power levels then probably would be the temp off the oil...
i think you're right mate, i also trash it but my rev limit is still set at 6750 and only thing i do is sprint from traffic lights and sometimes a high speed run on the motorway....
downside off the jc5 128 imo is the 1st and 2nd are quite short...
Lol, have to be something off the megane jc5's then, mine has done 326dkm (more then 200.000 miles) and it's still holding strong.
Although the synchro's are getting whorse and it's leaking all over the place!
And yes, i know full history of the car and it's still the original box...
Well the gtt box is just a jb3 so strenth wise nothing special. It's just the ratio's i was referring to.
Imo the driver and tuning is the weakest link in keeping a chocolate box together..
Hi fellow Renault enthousiasts!
We from the "Renault Tuning Club" from The Netherlands organise our annual seasonstart meet.
last year we've stopped counting at 500 Renaults and this year we are able to use way more space than we did last year.
So we hope you guys from the UK come and join us...
I think you would need to buy specific frames for a 172/bucket combi.
As you stated these ones are probably specific for the trendlines...
If you sell them how much are you looking for mate?
I have the same fitting as Andy used. In my built willy engine it's drilled into the flat spot but i have a LC meg. F7r too.
On the bottom off the block there is a hollow piece (dent/dimple). With the sump off i felt thats exactly where a bridge for the crank support bearing is. But just next to...
Well thats a bummer for me though. Could have used a lot of bits of your ride!
But tbh this would be the best decision mate!
Maybe the first parts would sell fast and easily but you'll always wind up having a half wrecked shell in the yard...
How is it the badges say: Dci though? Sleeper?
Sorry to hear there isn't much interest for the conversion.
I'm currently and will be down on money due to some private reasons.
So not really sure if i'm going to continue my F7R high boost turbo project :(
Hi Chris,
Good to read it has worked out fine with the flywheel!
Do you mean you'll have to modify the flywheel yourself or it can be made up with 60-2?
I'm currently a bit broke but need an adaptor plate too so i'll wait patiently!
Merry christmas and nice new years eve!
Don't Know exactly how they both react to tuning but i do know my willy has put down 140 ponies atw's with 200k on it.
(sebring silencer and j&r panel filter)
I've read alót topics where 1*2 don't even make that power....
Bigger master cyl will compensate the bigger pistons but won't lighten the braking.
Thnx for the answers! Already ordered a sport servo. 23,6mm cylinder is lying in the shed!
